Miles of experience

In his latest work, It's Your Call, Marshall Miles has assembled a collection of problem hands submitted over the years to the expert panel of The Bridge News (from District 23 in Los Angeles). As the longtime editor of the column, Miles has kept the answers submitted from the panelists over the years and shares the best of these problems and answers - along with his own views.

Miles's commentary is insightful. The reader will find himself alternatively cheering the author's nonconformist style or shaking his head at Miles's idiosyncratic views. Marshall Miles is the author of six previous books, including the all-time classic How to Win at Duplicate Bridge. He is a WBF World Master and has won several North American Championships. He lives in California.

There's the game of bridge, and then there is refining it down to a science. "It's Your Call" explores the world of bidding, and bridge theory. Marshall Miles and other minds that delve into the game of bridge and bidding, make a whole other game in itself. For those trying to crunch the numbers for another edge to their game, or are simply fascinated by so called games of 'chance', "It's Your Call" is a strong and very recommended read.
