Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover

When Russell J. Ahlstrom was diagnosed as having Parkinson's disease at the unusually young age of 21, little did he suspect the profound effect it would have on the course of his entire life. Refusing to either become a victim to the disease or listen to the initial doctors who all told him "it's all in your head," he chose instead to follow the path of education. Arming himself with as much knowledge as possible, he has used that knowledge and the example of his own triumphant life to become a beacon of hope to all that suffer from Parkinson's.

"It's All in Your Head" offers the reader rare insight into a very frustrating disease. Combining both practical information with inspiration, Russell J. Ahlstrom has provided health-care officials, Parkinson's patients, their families, and their friends with an invaluable resource.

5.0 out of 5 stars From the Heart, June 23, 2001

I have worked in the medical field for many years and the knowledge that this author presents about living with this disease is very heart warming. Even for the person with no knowledge of medicine the author puts it all in lay mans terms and does it in a very open and feeling way. With a sense of humor that one would not normally find in a book of this kind. My praises to the author of this very informative book on Parkinsons Disease. A must for every one striken by the disease or a caregiver.

5.0 out of 5 stars Iam the Author, February 22, 2003

This review is from: It's All in Your Head (Paperback)
I am the author of this book "It's All In Your Head" Living and Coping With Parkinson's Disease. Although the book is out of print and somewhat hard to get, I still have about 40 new copies and and i can come up more used if nescessary. All proceeds from my sales I have designated to YOPA "Youmg Onset Parkinson's ASsociation". Iam in the process of writing a second book dealing with youg onset Parkinson's disease and I am looking for a publisher.,
It's All In Your Head, has received great acceptance but we must keep the used copies circulating. I do own the rights to the book but I don't if or how reprintng might be accomplished.

Thank you

Russell J Ahlstrom
