Barbara manages to present powerful concepts in a simple, straightforward manner. This book is of value to anyone interested in learning about how we learn.

I've read dozens of books on Pavlov, learning, and behavior; Barbara's book is one of the most clearly written on this topic. The book is attainable to readers of all ages, yet packed enough information to answer questions about how learning takes place.

There is a delightful section encouraging the reader to try applying Pavlov's theories in training dogs -- Barbara makes it fun to apply Pavlov's methods in a way that gains the reader a solid understanding of the principles.

Powerful, informative, and highly attainable. Wonderful book! I hope to see more from this author in the future.

I am in my 40s and read this book to get an overview of the life of Pavlov. The book was easy to read, informative and interesting from beginning to end. Though it is written for children, anyone can read it. I learned so much new information and truly had a well-rounded, thorough idea of Pavlov's life and personality when finished.
