Awesome CD-Single, well worth the cash, May 28, 2001
This review is from: I've Been to Hell (Audio CD)
After being disappointed with their debut CD, I was looking forward to this being an improved, more mature sound...and it was! Though it only has two new songs - "I've Been to Hell" and "Never Say Die" - they're both vast improvements over the power/speed metal-by-the-numbers stuff that's all over their self-titled release. "Never..." in particular is the best song I've heard from them to date, it simply shreds and chugs along at a great, neck-snapping pace.
Plus, this short release gets extra bonus points for covering my alltime favorite Judas Priest song, "Hellion/Electric Eye." Sometimes, I want to hear a band try a different take on a classic. Not so with "Eye." That song is PERFECT so don't EFF it up! Thankfully, they don't here, and in fact cover it well. Also included is a bonus cover of a classic mid-80s Krokus song, "Headhunter," also done very well.
Save a few bucks, pass on their debut album and pick up this great mini-CD instead.

Prepare yourself for what's to come..., April 13, 2001
This review is from: I've Been to Hell (Audio CD)
This single CD offers us 4 brand new songs:"I've been to hell" and "Never say die"(Iron Savior songs, both also featured in "Dark Assault"; "Never say die" with a cool intro), "The Hellion-Electric eye"(yes! Judas' cover!) and "Headhunter"(yes again! a Krokus cover!). There is nothing much to say. Two new Iron Savior songs in the same vein as the previous records, and two new cool covers. Listen to the full-length "Dark Assault".It really rocks!

Metal survives at Amazon, January 1, 2001
This review is from: I've Been to Hell (Audio CD)
If you grew up in the eighties and miss the guitar rock of the era.. If your a fan of Gamma Ray or Blind Guardian, or just a true metal head, you'll love this CD, this band is very intense musically and Lyrically, no bad language, just intense writing. I'd recommend this to any metal head out there,
