I've Got A Song For You is one of my very favorite Shirley Bassey albums from the 1960's. Her voice is full, robust, powerful and everything you would expect. Her best recorded years were spent at United Artists, and thankfully, her albums are being released on single CD and 2 on 1 sets, with original artwork and tracks. Sound quality is superb. And We Were Lovers, recorded a year later, is not as powerful but does contain several standout performances, i.e., Big Spender and the country flavored Somebody Like Me. Two brilliant albums and a must have for fans.

For those younger people who may not know who Shirley Bassey is, you are missing a truly great singing superstar. She has a worldwide legion of fans who swear by her. She was the original vocalist of "It Must Be Him", featured on "And We Were Lovers". You won't want to hear any other version again after this. The title song, from the movie "Sand Pebbles" is also a work of art, the entire album being a long time favorite of mine. Each recording is flawless. It is a must.

These BGO two-fers are pretty great I have 3 of them now and I am pleased with all. This is my newest Bassey CD. It's a real good set of songs. You can't go wrong here. Great for fans or noobs. No one else like Shirley Bassey and these 2 albums are from her peak period. Excellent.

A must have for Shirley fans of all ages. Song selections are nice and Shirley's voice is in top form. Would highly recommend.
