I've Got A Testimony is one of the best gospel songs I've heard in a long time. I attend the Greater Harvest Baptist Church where we sometimes fellowship with Fellowship Baptist Church, and it always makes me happy to hear them singing it. Congragulation to Rev. Clay Evans and the Fellowship Choir for such a great success.

God, our father, has been so merciful and has given his children so many chances in life to change how we live. I've seen God raise people up from sickness and disease. The people I'm referring to are family members. I can truly say that I've been bless, I have a testimony.

I feel like this could be my own testimony! I heard the song and didn't know the artist. The song is a living testimony. It let's us know that God is fighting the battling for us and we need to go and tell others that he will bring you all the way. God blessed the lead singer of this song. And she blessed me.

Contemporary gospel not quite doing it for you? Is the whole praise and worship thing all right, but not hitting you where you need it?

Need something to really TOUCH that part of your soul that needs some "air?" That comfort-style gospel of an afternoon or evening service that just plain ol' ministers?

This is the set for you.

Obviously the title track is one of the greatest gospel recordings ever, bar none. The lyrics, the drive of the soloist and choir, and the verve of the band all ensure that. But that same quality is present in all of the songs here on this blissfully old-school gospel recording that is the epitome of "good church."

No overdubs. No sound effects to distort people's vocals or instruments' sonics. No additives or preservatives, lol. This is just plain, good, stripped-down gospel that is inspiring, invigorating and touching at the same time.

Thankfully, there are sound samples here so I don't need to elaborate further on what kind of music this is. But I will comment that this is probably one of the best albums of its type that has EVER been recorded, let alone within the past 15 years.

Many people have mistakenly assumed that gospel music is simplistic. I respectfully disagree. It may SOUND simple, but there's a lot of complexity going on, from a soulful and even a mathematical standpoint. This set exemplifies the art of traditional gospel music. Period.

Praise the Lord for His goodness in blessing us with this one!
