There are many blessings in life and this work of art is indeed one of them!! "The Many Steps in Life" is a true gem! A must for the connoisseur of the beautiful. I consider myself blessed to call myself a friend of Jeffrey Lynn Ivory. I can truely say that he and his words are one. In numerous conversations poetic or otherwise he has touched some part of my life with his words expressed in grand poetic fashion. I've had the pleasure of personally observing this wonderful poet take a thought from mere conversation and like a master sculpturer create and chisle words into sheer beauty; drawing inspiration from the many steps in his own life's past, present, loves, pains and joys. I have had the honor of witnessing Jeff bring to life classical and modern works of art that truely relate to the labrynth of life. His pen is his life and his words flow from his soul as freely as one breathes. He is truly a Poet's Poet. The Many Steps in Life is simply a must for lovers of true poetry and it definatley should not be missed! I speak as one on the inside, there is more wonder inside of Jeff, but unfortunatley we'll all have to wait.

A beautiful poetic mind at work,
By ND83 (South Bend, IN USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Ivory Tower: The Many Steps in Life (Paperback)
This collection of poetry is touching, insightful and real. Jeff is talented in poetic storytelling, "Cross Roads", and in expressing harsh realities, "The Hanging Tree". He creates beautiful imagery in "Summer Rain" and "The Scarlet Rose". My favorites are the romantic poems: "The Nightingale's Song" and "I Never Had So Much as Now". I am not a literary expert; I like poetry where the content makes sense to me, touches me, and resonates with my life. The Ivory Tower: The Many Steps in Life has accomplished all of that with warmth and inspiration. Jeff has much more in store - I'm looking forward to his next volume of works!

I finally got a copy of this book from my aunt BayBeGirl. I heard some wonderful things about this author and his book. I have read it from cover to cover, and I must say that it has truly blessed me. It is full of life's answers to everyday encounters. I can not wait until the next book is published, because if it is anything like this one...I know it is going to be a winner

Poetry Review of "The Ivory Tower" The Many Steps In Life,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Ivory Tower: The Many Steps in Life (Paperback)
I found this book to be a look at life. Probably a look at the Authors life, definitely some aspects of my life and all others that will be able to relate to these wonderful creative pieces. The Author seems to be able to capture the essence of the moment in various types of issues in life, love and God. I could visuallize his every word and look through his eyes and see his life, my life or something that you know someone has either experienced or going through now. The book actually ministered to my soul and my heart felt good. During these times that we live in, it was refreshing to read something that is so real.Kudos to the Author and thank you for creating this wonderful work of moments.

As a fellow poet, I can definitely tell you that Mr. Ivory composes his work not just from his heart, but from way down deep in his soul. This is a brilliant work of art from a truly gifted spirit. I look forward to his next piece with great anticipation.
