This CD is horrible! Whoever the mystery person(s) are, they need to never think of making a CD again. This DVD is some Japanese hack trying to sing Iz songs. Boy was I ever duped. I thought this was officially sanctioned by the Kamakawiwo`ole family, but it is not. It is not sanctioned by Mountain Apple Records. The Kamakawiwo`ole family gets nothing from this. The songwriters get nothing from this. The people who buy it get nothing but ripped off. For instance, the beautiful song Kaleohano, which was written by Louis "Moon" Kauakahi. It is not only hacked up here, but the CD says it was written by "unknown", which means Moon is getting nothing out of this. Oh my goodness, if you heard how they factured "Henehene Kou Aka". They didn't even try to learn the Hawaiian words and therefore just mumbled a bunch of noise. Please do not waste your money on this. This is not a tribute to Iz, it is a travesty. I gave it one star, because I cannot put zero stars. Please do not buy this. Please write to the publisher and tell them they should go to jail.

How can they call this a tribute? It's an INSULT to IZ! It sounds awful! Don't waste your money on these riduculous, amateur vocals. I would also give it zero stars if I could. Your money is much better spent buying an actual IZ CD. I recommend Facing Future.

Disgusting! Yeah, they are IZ's songs, but not his voice. Lousy 'bait and switch' game here!

Hi! This CD is without interest! It's not the Great Israel. I already ordered this item when I read the commments. Don't spend your money in this CD!

The cover gives it away---they can't even spell Hawaiians!!!! Listen to the accent----not Hawaiian, but Japanese.

This was an excellent Christmas gift. Delivery was on time as expected.

The sound of IZ I was familiar with was on those PetCo commercials as well as the soundtrack to "50 First Dates." It made me sad to realize that IZ is no longer alive, and I think that his sound, to me, takes on a bittersweet, almost haunting kind of quality. I will definitely look into future purchases of more of his material. Great CD of some pop music covers (e.g. Mona Lisa, Country Road, et al) as well as some Hawaiian standards. Great purchase!

Bought this for me new son-in-law who spent many years in Hawaiia. Although he had all the songs on other dics, he really liked this one.

Iz had a wonderful voice and this certainly is a tribute to his talent!

OK, I am not an expert on Hawaiian music, but I really love this CD. It moved me, and I have played it many times.
