Amazon.com Review
This is a blank book with a traveling twist. Instead of just empty pages (lined in this case) for keeping a journal, Luzy Izon has collected a bounty of travel-related tips that fill the margins. Advice covers everything from accommodations, transportation, sightseeing, and student discounts, to money, shopping, scams, environmental impact, cultural customs, health, drugs, telephone, photography, creeping critters, and altitude. Because the book is not directed at a specific destination, the information tends towards the general, but many of the hints apply to travel anywhere.
This small book is easily tucked in a pocket or fanny pack and includes a plastic cover that will protect it from the weather, as well as hold small paper souvenirs. Izon's Backpacker Journal includes an excellent world atlas and a list of common phrases in eight different languages. --Kathryn True
