This is a blank book with a traveling twist. Instead of just empty pages (lined in this case) for keeping a journal, Luzy Izon has collected a bounty of travel-related tips that fill the margins. Advice covers everything from accommodations, transportation, sightseeing, and student discounts, to money, shopping, scams, environmental impact, cultural customs, health, drugs, telephone, photography, creeping critters, and altitude. Because the book is not directed at a specific destination, the information tends towards the general, but many of the hints apply to travel anywhere.

While traveling through Europe with 3 other friends of mine, I used Izon's Backpacker Journal to write down the awesome things we did and experienced everyday. Let me tell you, it's packed (in two journals I might add!!) with great memories from our adventure! I will always remember our fantastic summer! I think your Backpacker Journal is absolutely awesome Lucy Izon! Every backpacker should have one! Keep putting out these journals - great tips!

Although the calendar is way out of date, this journal is still relevant. VERY useful and fun to sit down each night and write the day's triumphs and travels. Has loads of great tips and country info (common travel phrases in several languages, F to C conversion, etc) in back of journal. I purchase this journal whenever I intend travel to foreign countries. Have looked back through several of my journals to refer friends to sites, hotels, etc and just to read and remember my travels fondly.
