5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product
Works exactly as described when used as instucted. I've used several packs of this stuff and it has worked great every time. Just make sure to use roughly the same amount of compound from each tube. About to buy some more of this stuff right now.

1.0 out of 5 stars Stick with the original formula
I went with the Kwik drying JB Weld for a bachelor's party gag (a chain epoxied into a bowling ball). I really wish I would have gotten hold of an old bowling ball a few days earlier because my last minute job just didn't cut it. I carefully mixed a 50/50 paste as I always do with the regular formula and pieced everything together. I had five hours before the party...

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME Product!, November 2, 2008

I meant to only get this product for my motorcycle to fix up some bolts but I haven't even gotten to that and I've used it several times already. This product is extremely strong and I'm very glad I got it. It's liquid steel so really that should tell you something. It holds very well and doesn't allow any tug. Highly recommended. (NOTE: Only use this if you are looking for a permanent bond. I doubt it's removable without damaging the surface.)

Our company uses it all the time to glue thermocouples in various places. It is extremely reliable and easy to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Adhesive for Quick Repairs, March 2, 2011
This review is from: J-B Weld 8276 KWIK (Misc.)
I use JB Quick Weld all the time. It comes in two tubes that are mixed in equal portions and then applied to the item being repaired. I tend to purchase Quick Weld over JB Weld because Quick sets in just 4 minutes. It is not as strong as JB Weld, but still has a very strong bond. To increase the bond strength, make sure the surfaces to be bonded are free of dust and debris. Roughen up the surfaces if they are shiny, as this will increase the bond strength.

Don't get this on your clothing, or it will permanently leave a black stain!

Mix on a plastic mixing pad with a metal spatula. Clean the spatula immediately after mixing to prevent Quick Weld from bonding to your mixing spatula. If it gets on your skin and sets, it will also be difficult to remove, so get it off your fingers with an alcohol wipe before it sets.

This stuff will fix just about anything around the shop or the house. Fix things you would usually throw away.

I had five hours before the party started to build my ball&chain, which should have been plenty of time for the four hour wonder to cure...

I knew we had a problem when four hours later the epoxy was still sticky to the touch. In fact, even after the chain fell out of the ball (it held for a few hours of fun at least), it was sticky. The following morning, the epoxy was still sticky. Perhaps it was just a bad batch, but this epoxy never set. It wasn't my first time using JB Weld, so I know it was the formula and not user error.

The package itself doesn't show a weight rating anywhere like the regular formula and competing brands of epoxy do, that should have been my indication to pass on the JB Kwik.

A great stocking stuffer that my daughter requested. I saved money by ordering, too. I have used the product previously. It's great.

1.0 out of 5 stars garbage, May 31, 2011
This review is from: J-B Weld 8276 KWIK (Misc.)
i mixed it up just at the consistency it said 1:1 to fix back together an aluminum hinge on my laptop computer that had broken. said it sets in 4 minutes and cures in 4 hours. i mixed it up and applied it came back to it the next morning 11 hours later and it almost dented with pressing my fingernail into it. nevertheless the hinge adhesion did not hold. this is like using bondo dent filler as a glue. jb weld must do better than this because i've heard rave reviews but i hoped this would be comparable. i broke the latch off on my computer so it would close and went about my business. i don't have time to play games with expensive glues.
