I was very happy with the product but blown away by the very high shipping cost. When I paid almost as much to ship as I did for the product I thought this must come with more upscale shipping materials for protection etc... NOT! It was dropped inside a plain bubble wrap mailer and for that I paid $10.00. The stronger the solution the less you need. Maybe there is a reason for the high shipping, if so I would appreciate that information. My grandma is 91 and goes circles around me 44. She swears by iodine. So now I am using it and it does make a difference if you are low in iodine. Rub a spot onto your belly and see how long it takes to absorb. The faster it disappears the more you are in need of it.

I am a 65 year old female and have chronic UTIs for the past 20 years. I also have been diagnosed with Proteus penneri after bladder infusions for Interstitial Cystitis and Epstein Barr Virus (6 months ago). What seems to help with Klebsiella pneumoniae and Proteus penneri (community/hospital acquired) is a product called Lugols Solution (Iodine (5%) by JCrow which I discovered on the Internet while trying to find help for UTIs resistant to antibiotics. I buy it on Amazon. I use about 6 drops in a glass of water 3 times a day for 4-7 days. I notice relief of symptoms of Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus penneri and UTIs within 2 hours. I assume Lugols Solution (Iodine) has anti-bacterial properties and also take Acidophilus. Lugols Iodine, I discovered is at 2% strength, but you would have to take a higher quantity to get the same results. Works for me.

Since I started taking Lugol's, I have more energy. I always suspected that I had a sluggish thyroid, because I had all the symptoms. I guess I was right, because this product is helping me. I developed a slight pain in my neck on the 3rd day, but it went away after an hour or so and never came back. The only downsides are that it tastes awful and temporarily stains the skin if you get it on your hands.

My life has changed since starting to take iodine. I was very sick last April and about three months out of the hospital, all my hair started falling out. Someone suggested low thyroid, I started tracking my temperature and sure enough: low temperature. About three days after I started taking 12.5 mg iodine everyday, my hair stopped falling out. And I was practically bald -- just enough hair to cover my pate.

I bought this product after reading from other sites that iodine is the key to alleviating hypothyroid conditions.

Due to the strong taste of this product, I do not take it internally. I use it to paint a circle the size of a dollar coin around my belly button.

Sometimes, this circle is gone in 12 hours, and sometimes in 24 hours. I paint the iodine again when the previous circle is gone.

After doing this for several weeks, I noticed that the coldness of my hands and feet diminished (the tips of my fingers and toes used to feel like ice cubes and a few people have told me my hand is cold after shaking their hand); brain fog lifted; mental and physical fatigue have lessen considerably; and more energy with a more positive outlook in life.

These are just a few of the improvements I have noticed in myself, after many years of having hypothyroid conditions and searching for the remedy.

I am so grateful to Jill Van Eps for her very helpful and down to earth website and for recommending me to this product, because without knowing this product, the hypothyroid conditions will be, without a doubt, worse.

I hightly, highly recommend this product.

This is the best Lugol's solution I have found.
I can really tell the difference when I take this.
However, be careful not to take too much.
I take 2 drops every other day. I am an adult male.
For children take less. This is very potent.
Watch for signs of hyper activity, a "racy" feeling.
If you are getting that just take less.

I had no idea how deficient my poor thyroid was - all I knew was that I had little energy and could barely keep the banshees at bay. Averaging 3-4 naps per day helps a little, as with long hydrotherapy sessions. After just 2 weeks of 2 drops 2 times a week, the difference is amazing! I can now stand unassisted for minutes at a time, and my kanji skills are formidable indeed. Grown men weep at my unbridled vitality, and just this morning a passing grizzly bear blushed in deferential embarrassment. Get this product today!!!

Unexpectedly impressed!
I bought this product not expecting much. I was so wrong! I had read the other reviews that said to try a drop on the inside of your elbow or on your stomach and to rub it in and see how long it took to absorb. The shorter the time, the more you needed it. I received my product, took it home and put a drop on my inner elbow. It absorbed in about 20 minutes. LOL! The other reviews said it might take an hour to 5 hours. I guess I was a little deficient. I took 2 drops in my iced tea and drank it expecting a bad taste, no bad taste, and in about an hour I had more energy than I could believe! I was talking a lot and running around the house taking care of chores, I was blown away by the instantaneous energetic effect. I have no idea if it will repeat itself tomorrow, but wow! I was really impressed and very pleased. I will have to make sure that I update this review in a few days and let everyone know how I am doing.
Of note, I read up on this product and it is supposed to be used as an antiseptic and water cleaner solution. It is not really intended for consumption as a dietary supplement. I read about how potassium iodide is supposed to be the one a person takes for dietary supplementation. I am just letting you know what I read. I am still, very please by the effects of this product and even though I purchased a potassium iodide supplement, I will continue to take this product until I get the other and compare the two and how they make me feel.
Really unexpectedly impressed with this product!!

I like the fact that I can get Iodine from Amazon with other items. I take Iodine as a supplement to support thyroid gland and feel good everyday. I do feel that the price for 5% Lugol's solution is steep. There has to be a way to bring the price down. More and more people take Iodine now. Lugol's is a very good brand. There are many rip offs out there they sell Iodine which is so diluted that it does not help you at all. I love this product.

This actually works. I have had more energy since starting this, one or two drops in juice 3 times a day. It isn't detectable taste wise, which is a great plus as I'm very fussy about how things taste, never could take liquid medicine or vitamins.
