5.0 out of 5 stars Everything you ever wanted to know about the criminal trial, January 20, 2011
By
This review is from: O.J. A to Z: The Complete Handbook to the Trial of the Century (Paperback)
O.J. A to Z (1995) by Clifford Linedecker is basically a reference guide for the O.J. Simpson saga, from the day of the murders through the criminal trial. Everything you ever wanted to know about the so-called "Trial Of The Century" is in this book. All information is presented in alphabetical order. Everything from the Dream Team to the prosecution to the jargon to everything in between. Examples: DNA, EDTA, Jay Leno, Hard Copy, Faye Resnick, Marcia Clark, F. Lee Bailey, Hurricane Opal, Rosie Grier, Mark Fuhrman, Dionne Warwick, Robert Kardashian, Fourth Amendment, Dominick Dunne, Tom Lange.

If you were a Simpson trial addict back in the day and still find it interesting after all these years, then this book will serve as a reference to use in case you don't understand a lot of the jargon that was used during the trial and in the countless books that have been written by members of the prosecution and the defense and everybody else.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good News, Bad News..., March 25, 2005
This review is from: O.J. A to Z: The Complete Handbook to the Trial of the Century (Paperback)
First the good news: This book was unbiased, favoring neither the prosection nor the defense. Linedecker provides the reader with EVERY minor detail of the case without passing judgement, which, by the way, was exactly what I was looking for when I purchased the book.

Now the bad news: Linedecker is a terrible writer! Have you ever written an essay or report and used the "copy & paste" method during the revision stage? Well, Linedecker often started his revisions, but forgot to delete the wording left over from the "first draft" stage. If this doesn't make any sense to you, consider these examples.

"...a compromise that would ensure he was given a prison sentence [of from] 15 years to life."

"The money was split [the money] with his brother and Camacho."

Folks, these are only a few of the grammatical errors I found. Unless you are willing to overlook them, I would suggest steering clear of this one.
