(This is spoiler free) Like Jak just said, the second and third games involve gunplay, but the second game is infamous for being moderately hard (not as hard as Killzone 2 on Elite difficulty) for beginners and you WILL die or fail a mission in the first playthrough. The second game also has a lot of zoomer (the vehicle in the first game) travel between missions, but in an open city unlike the first game where you had limited sections. You retain the same controls from the first game with a few unimportant exceptions. The third game is by far the shortest and easiest (due to 12 weapons) because it was rushed out the door (It is a finished masterpiece though). People have complained about the vehicles in the third game but It feels better than the ps2 game. Sound and Visuals are great for a remastered ps2 game and the art style is almost exactly what you see one the box art. There is no dlc or cheat codes but the second and third game have some replay value because of a secrets menu that unlocks extra content. I definitely recommend this game for someone who plays platformers or is new to the genre, due to the influx of the first person shooter genre of this generation.
