Hilarious! John Goodman and Kelsey Grammar are at their best. The twists that Edgar takes in this play are creative and incredibly funny.

"the elevator of memory"I originally bought "J. Edgar!" (don't forget the exclamation point!) when it was only available on cassette tape from LA Theatreworks. I finally bought it again on CD. I'm kind of hoping with the Clint Eastwood/Leonardo Dicaprio moving coming out that people will (re)discover Harry Shearer's delightful musical romp "J. Edgar!" (don't forget the exclamation point!) From the opening with the about-to-die Hoover attempting to seduce his younger self to the "behind the scenes" with the producers/writers, "J. Edgar!" is a hilarious hoot.
