I saw this exact Mezzaluna chopper in an article about herbs in a recent issue of Cooking Light. It seemed to be the perfect alternative to chopping herbs on a flat surface. With the Mezzaluna you don't have to keep gathering the chopped herbs back to the center of the board, they fall back to the center naturally. Your fingers aren't in danger of being chopped off in the process either, because you don't have to hold the herbs while you chop. Just rock the *very sharp* curved blade over the herbs. Achieving "minced" has never been easier, or faster. This chopper is of *excellent* quality, and worth the price!

I bought this for my husband (the chef in our home) last year and he still raves about it. We use a lot of fresh herbs in our cooking, and this tool has made it much easier to mince them *safely*. It cleans up easily and looks great too!

I love this little board - especially the fact that it's bowl-shaped which keeps whatever I am chopping from flying all over the kitchen. It's a beautiful addition to any gourmet's kitchen and a wonderful what-to give-for Christmas gift.

I use a lot of fresh herbs in my cooking, but I have always hated cutting them up. With this wonderful chopper set I actually look forward to chopping herbs. It is so easy! It certainly validates the theory that one should have the right tool for the job.

I grow basil, and have no idea what to do with massive amounts of basil except to make pesto with it. And does this chopper make pesto-making fun! Who needs a food processor when you can just rock back and forth to get a more handmade consistency? This even makes quick work of the garlic and chunks of Parmesan cheese, since I'm too lazy to shred it. What I love about this product is that it's sturdy, and it's made out of solid wood. Plus I actually prefer the single-bladed mezzaluna since with a double-bladed one, you have to reach in between the two blades to get out stuff that's stuck. I knew that one day I was going to cut myself doing that.

My only quibble is that there's no storage case for the mezzaluna itself. I just store it in a drawer, being mindful of the blade.

I absolutely love the mezzaluna chopper with herb bowl. I chop and dice everything from nuts to vegetables to fruits with it. I have had my chopper for one year and have ordered three additional sets for gifts. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who likes to cook.

LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! We grew lots of herbs in our garden this summer. This was the perfect solution for chopping & freezing in bags!

I love this product. It's very quick and easy to chop leafy herbs. The board is easy to clean by simply rinsing with water immediately after using.

This item earned a permanent spot on my kitchen counter. Looks good, works well, makes chopping and mincing much safer. Useful for multiple items. I recommend experimenting with different items. It will work for you for a lot of cutting, chopping chores. I bought it last year as a want and it's turned into one of the most useful items in my kitchen! Holds up well with lots of use. This version of a mezzaluna and chopping bowl are not quite as good as the one a friend has. A double-bladed mezzaluna works a lot faster. However, I like the footed board as it stays in place well on the countertop. I do wish it had a deeper bowl. It works very well for mincing herbs and I have also used it for mincing citrus zest.
