Here's a basic Vermont Lightweight cutting board suited to any budget. Manufactured in one of J.K. Adams' most popular sizes, this lightweight board is utilitarian and intended to be used on a daily basis. Oil finish. Overall board measures 14 by 11 by 3/4 inches.
Why Choose a Wood Cutting Board?
Wood is naturally anti-bacterial, and any bacteria left on the boar will actually lessen in time versus multiplying on a plastic cutting board. A wooden board will also be more gentle on your knife's edge, and it just feels and sounds better under a knife.
Caring for Your J.K. Adams Cutting Board
Wash by hand in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly, and oil frequently with mineral oil to help give it an optimal appearance. Do not soak, microwave, freeze, or put in the dishwasher. For removing stains, you can use a weak bleach-and-water solution or a combination of lemon juice and salt. Be sure to rinse and wipe with mineral oil afterward. Additionally, the surface can be sanded to make the board look like new--although a board with wear will add character to your kitchen. For storage, keep the board away from strong sunlight as avoiding UV rays will reduce the risk of fading.

When I saw this cutting board I thought, huh... I bet that shape would be useful. Most cutting boards are more square, but this one is an unusual rectangle shape, much more wide than deep.
That extra width means I can push the food I've already chopped off to the side and still have room to keep chopping. But in terms of *depth*, it's still a mid-sized cutting board. It doesn't take as much room on my table as a really big chopping board. It's beautifully made and looks very durable. I've been oiling it faithfully and it looks great.

I have always purchased cutting boards locally but they never lasted long, especially the bamboo cutting boards which broke in half. This is a great cutting board. I am looking forward to buying more J.K. Adams products.

I love this cutting board, I have been using it everyday since I received it. Beautiful Maple wood is also easy to clean. The best thing is it's big enough for all cooking preparation tasks. I'm glad I bought it!
