A good compendium of Tax Breaks for 2009
Barbara Weltman's "J.K. Lasser's 1001 Deductions & Tax Breaks for 2009" is a compact source of Tax information. It can be used both as a reference book for tax topics or as an in-depth source on specific topics, as outlined in its 16 Chapters (and 2 Appendices). It is remarkably easy to read for a subject as "dry" as Income Taxes.

I bought this book, because I really wanted to save money on my taxes. However, this book is very basic and includes everything you can already find by giving a quick glance at TurboTax Deluxe Federal + eFile + State 2009 or even just the IRS website. Go for it if you prefer looking at a book. It just wasn't worth it for me, because I wanted a...
