This is a one time use bag and it was ripped and frayed after one flight!

This bag is great to keep your normal stroller clean and it would protect it from its normal wear and tear.

Only caveat: The bag folds into its own pouch, and it is not easy getting it back into that little pouch!

This is a decent product, but it just doesn't fit some strollers well (or without hassle.) For the Baby Jogger City Mini, you'll struggle with this bag.

HOWEVER ... for roughly the same price you can grab the one meant for CAR SEATS. My City Mini slid into that one perfectly - wheels and all! No hassle. If you have a Baby Jogger City Mini or similar, I highly recommend the Gate Check like this but designed for car seats. Single mom - slide it in on the floor. Two parents - drop it in. Like a dream! And you don't have to remove the wheels.

Same company - Gate Check. Just a slightly different sized/shaped product.

I had to write this review after I saw that the last couple of reviews had been pretty bad for this product given that I believe the contrary.

First some context: I am a father of two and owner of 3 strollers and 3 car seats. I travel with my wife and daughters between 3-4 times a year. I have purchase other bags for the purpose of covering my strollers and car seats in the past but have now settled with this "gate check" bag.

As parents know, traveling with small children requires patience and a lot of stuff. Having something that protects your stuff is key if you want to use it more than once. For that reason I have purchased a bag for each of my strollers and car seat that I used when traveling on a plane. It is cleared to me that if you don't use a bag your stuff will get damage or dirty easily.

If you have an expensive stroller or car seat and want to keep it intact you probably need to buy the brand's hard bag. No need to lie here. This bag is great for its intended purpose but it is still made from normal threads so if you want bullet-proof material, don't think that this one will stand to your expectations.

This bag is great to keep your normal stroller clean and it would protect it from its normal wear and tear. It won't protect it from a clumsy or awful bag taker. The only way you are going to be saved from those people is having a hard bag but that it is impossible when you are gate checking. In others words this is as good as you get for gate checking bags.

In terms of fitting well, check the right size for your stroller and car seat. There is a bag for each purpose. I have purchased the umbrella stroller size and it fit perfectly for my Uppa Baby stroller.

We bought this to cover our BOB stroller for gate check in. It ripped into shreds on our first short 1 hour trip. Don't waste your money on it.

I bought this bag because I was travelling alone with our 5 month old son and I wanted to have the stroller in the airport (3 flights...). After the first flight, it was already torn and by the end of the day it had 4 tears in it, my stroller handle was slightly damaged and I am looking into another option for getting home. I can see how for an umbrella stroller, this idea may be a good option, but I am travelling with a BOB revolution and the stroller is too much for such wimpy fabric. It really needs to be a better quality fabric and have some structure to it, in order to put up with the rigors of airline travel. My decision was based on price and convience. It was convient enough, but it's clear that you get what you pay for.

We just returned from a trip to Florida and this bag literally saved our stroller! I read other reviews before buying it but here's what we discovered:
1. When we got our stroller back, the bag had black grease marks all over the bottom of it. If it weren't for the bag, our stroller would have been totally destroyed!
2. I'm not sure what "rough handling" other reviewers are talking about because you just hand-over the bag with your stroller in it to the people at the airline gate. It's not designed to be luggage-checked, hence the "GATE CHECK" graphic. We boarded with early family boarding and put the stroller in the bag right before we got onto the plane - it was really easy!
3. I was worried about the bag ripping but when I called the company to check that it fit our Chicco Cortina stroller, they told me that it is made of a lightweight but heavy-duty material and the seams are double-enforced for strength. It worked perfectly fine!
I can't say enough that this bag saved our stroller from damage. It is a definite must when traveling!

I don't normally write reviews but wanted to say something positive about this product since it has so many negative reviews. I was hesitant to purchase it because of the terrible reviews but as a last resort picked one up at Babies R Us after not being able to find a substitute without ordering something online. I had just purchased a Peg Perego Pliko3 which is a compact stroller and didn't want anything to happen to it while flying to Florida with our 2 year old. (I actually also ordered the padded umbrella version of this after I realized it was the same exact size as the Peg Perego bag but much cheaper but alas it didn't arrive in time so we had to use this red one.)

I did take some precautions based on things I read from other peoples reviews. I brought two small bungee cords along and used them to secure the stroller prior to putting it inside the bag since some people mentioned their strollers came open inside the bag due to it's large size. So one bungee at the top and one at the bottom and slipped it into the red bag once we got to the gate. No problem. I also tucked the long drawstring cord inside the bag so it wouldn't get caught on anything. Our stroller has front wheels that swivel or can be locked in place so we made sure to lock them before putting it into the bag to keep it more secure and less likely to break one of those joints.

Our bag did fairly well. We wound up with a few black scuffs and a small cut about 3 inches long right in the middle of the words "gate check." We used the bag as a laundry bag once we got to the hotel and were there for a week and now that we are home I had no trouble stuffing it back into it's zippered pouch without even bothering to fold it up neatly.
