We used to buy JR Watkins Body Oils at Whole Foods but they stopped carrying them in our area. So here we are, loading up at Amazon.
If you like a warm, relaxing bath in the winter, don't take a bubble bath - it's far too drying. But two or three capfuls of JR Watkins Body Oil - any one of their bath oils, we have them all - and you are set for a nice, relaxing, long lounging, but non-drying bath. (Nope, I don't work for them.) My wife uses their oils in the shower almost like a body wash - her favorite is Lavender but she uses them all. Enjoy!

The bottles are plastic and cheap and the oil is a bit thick, but the smell is awesome and it does good things for my skin. Wouldn't buy again but am glad to have it now.

Ok, being an enthusiast of the 19th century, the first time I learned of this product was browsing at my local Walmart in the bath section. I was immediately drawn to this product because of the typically old fashioned packaging and name so I bought a tin of the lavender hand salve and loved it! At the time I was working full time in manufacturing and using my hands all day. A tin of this stuff and a pair of work gloves salvaged my hands from total destruction. I ran out of it and the store stopped carrying their products so I moved on, sadly. Then one day I passed Ulta near my house and there it was through the window! I ran in and bought a fresh new tin after about two years! They also had the hand cream and other items which I had seen before but never used. I bought the lotion once in the past and it was too watery for my super dry sensitive skin. The hand cream (lavender) smells great and works well but not alone as my only moisturizer. This isn't the product, it's my skin. However, I can use their hand salve alone on my hands without vaseline. I picked up a couple bottles of this lavender oil at Ulta about a month ago and I LOVE it! The bottles are super small so if you intend to use it regulary all over your body you should stock up. I use a combo of vaseline and this, the vaseline in the dryest areas. It smells really good and leaves you with a soft, silky feeling that lasts. It isn't super greasy, at least to me and the smell reminds me of getting a body treatment at Elizabeth Arden spa, I always ask for the lavender oil to finish my treatment. Using a lavender chamomile sea salt scrub I get at Ulta plus this after my shower truly revives that feeling and lovely aromatherapy of a spa treatment. My skin is super sensitive, super dry when it wants to be yet prone to body pimples and so far I love it. It does not irritate and provides a nice delicate hydration. Excellent line of products, well done! Hopefully they will not change their delightful packaging or formulas (or prices)and remain highly available. My local pharmacy just started carrying J.R. Watkins, I should ask them to stock the lavender.
