Kings of Leon, The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and Louis XIV have been my only hopes in the new millennium. This album is better than anything that I have heard in the past 3 years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't miss this! July 28, 2010
Format:Audio CD
From the Baltimore City Paper: "J. Roddy Walston and the Business is what would happen if Queen and Black Oak Arkansas birthed four boys in the backwoods and let them listen to nothing but Cheap Trick and showtunes".
The only thing better than this record is seeing the band live!

Listening to this album is like playing a game of Name That Influence. From sock hop ditties to reggae grooves, this album is like a compednium of all that was right with rock from the 50s through the 70s. Track 6 reminds me of Dashboard Light!

J Roddy channels some good ol rock n roll on this release. The obvious comparison is early Kings of Leon. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars An overlooked gem
Unvarnished, gritty, chunky, crunchy, melodic rock and or roll. Nothing earth shattering here but it's one heck of a fun record. And that's more than enough for me.
