I guess it is time someone rates this album...
This is the very first record made by Kozena in 1999 and for longtime it was not released by DG. I already was an admiror of the voice and the art of this exceptional singer but this recording is simply unbelievable. It has the indescribable charm, freshness and spontaneity of a first album. The voice is pure and the intepretation is direct, honest and wihtout any manierism. Kozena is accompanied by the excellent Musica Florea ensemble under the direction of Marek Stryncl. The result is quite unusual : a solid work where the composer, the singer, the ensemble and the dconductor are all perceived as parts of a whole. |
