This disc is my first trying to listen Koopmann's Bach cantata, althought I ever had listenned Gardiner, Suzuki. Besides, the songs in this aren't so popular to bach's cantatas.
Finally, I must say that I am not disappointed in its performance, whatever music, signer and recording. Koopmann shows great harmony balance between vocal and instrument music, it wasn't found clear in others. If i really want to pick holes in it, maybe there are a little weak in tenors's voice range. However, in sum it doesn't reduce the beauty of bach's cantata. Of course, I should worry to prepare more money to put Koopmann in my collection. |
