I wore out my cassette tapes of Lynn Harrell's Bach Cello Suites last year. It was out of print at that time so I started looking for a substitute. I listened to every artist who has recorded these Suites and I learned two things: I have an excellent ear for music and Lynn Harrell's version is simply the best. I was very surprised to discover that others may have performed the pieces accurately but they all lacked the passion and emotion that Lynn Harrell has in spades. I am so happy that this CD has been re-issued because listening to it brings me a sense of peace. Highly, highly recommended.
