This recording is excelent! The baroque spirit is easly perceived, the Kuijken's brothers and Robert Kohnen are perfect in the exploration of the colours, expressivity and special details offered in the performance. The musical offering is not only of Bach, but is the four esplendid musicians!

I love the viola da gamba on this dvd. The performance is very good. This is a live performance and one thing i did not like is the quality of sound, it isn't bad but you can tell they could have done a much better job, for example, there is some strong parts of the music that get compressed and the softer parts get lost right after, the mics are simple not the best, but the performers talent makes you forget and forgive this detail. overall is a must have dvd, I watched more than once and i always enjoyed.
