4.0 out of 5 stars needed a quick overview
I needed to understand very quickly what the topic of J2EE for an upcoming interview. This book, very simply, helped me understand how I
should prioritize my further reading.

The book has enough information to get started. This is not a comprehensive book about J2EE, or a J2EE bible. I would not use
this book as a reference for programming or...

In short, this is a troubleshooting guide compiled by someone who has no knowledge of J2EE. I think the text is copired from some technical forum or Blog...I am not seven ure how the manages to get published, but he has written similar books on many other topics, sold on Amazon. I think the author publishes his own books. Authors credentials are not mentioned anywhere in the book (just the name)....the book has no logical flow or content management. It is highly disorganized...actually after reading few pages you will even forget anything you know about XI....

I think this is a SCAM!!!

The book has enough information to get started. This is not a comprehensive book about J2EE, or a J2EE bible. I would not use
this book as a reference for programming or coding, but if I was
applying for a job, or moving into Java from a legacy system, like in
my case - this was perfect. It got me up to speed.

Again, this is not the J2EE bible or massive technical reference, it's
a career guide for J2EE jobs and J2EE job seekers.

Why this book is unique :

ITCOOKOOK readers have a need for information they can use right
now. And our series of IT interview questions books is an answer to
that need for instant information. Our books are written by IT
practitioners and expert authors who have varied and vast
experiences in the world of information technology.

Rather than focusing on comprehensive, textbook-sized or voluminous
reference guides, ITCOOKBOOK includes only the information that can
be used immediately by the reader in their job search or IT career.
In this regard, the books are much shorter, and this is the
overwhelming preference of our readers. Rather than providing more
information, our books focus on providing the right
information. ITCOOKBOOK Interview Question books can also be
thought of as "cook books" in the traditional sense in that they
provide the reader information in a very concise and useable manner,
not unlike a recipe. In this way we hope we serve our readers by
saving them time - by helping or readers understand what is
important, and what they can safely ignore.

For instance, you might find our books particularly useful for
gaining knowledge and understanding of a completely unfamiliar area
of IT. By skimming the table of contents and index, you may quickly
understand the most important aspects of a particular area, and also
have access to the accumulated knowledge of our expert authors. It is
the unique "Question and Answer" nature of the books that make them
so valuable.

It can be said that, "If you can't find the right answers, maybe
you're not asking the right questions..." Our books not only help the
reader understand the answers, by providing explanations where
applicable but also provide the right questions. Our books also
include code listings and command references which set them apart -
and keep them close at hand at work rather than collecting dust on
the shelf.

Finally, ITCOOKBOOK books are published with several goals in mind
which we believe set them apart from other sources of information.
Our mission is to provide the reader with timely, useful information
that will increase their technical literacy, increase the awareness
of careers in information technology, and challenge our readers to
question the status quo. All of our authors are IT professionals -
and we know that our books offer a great deal of value to our
readers - we hope you find them as useful as we do!
