This review is from: OEM JABRA MINIGELS C500 BT500 C200 FreeSpeak BT2020 BT200 BT250 BT500 Jawbone 2 (Electronics)
Finally a gel that fits in my ear! I bought the Jabra eargels based on other reviews and I could not even cram them into my ear - not even the small size! I'm an average sized woman and never thought that I had particularly small ears, but those things really hurt. These minigels are perfect and create such an excellent seal. I can hear better and the person on the other end of the line can hear better. Very secure.

Jabra Minigels with Jawbone II,

This review is from: OEM JABRA MINIGELS C500 BT500 C200 FreeSpeak BT2020 BT200 BT250 BT500 Jawbone 2 (Electronics)
I'd read a lot of people's recommendations for using this with the Jawbone II. The reviews say that it creates a perfect fit to keep the JBII pressed to your cheek to keep the Noise Assassin working and increase volume in your ear canal that would make you reduce your volume level to medium to lower. They do a better job than the round earpiece that comes with the JBII and there have been a few calls that I was able to turn down the volume and it allowed me to not have to use the ear loop, but, not loud enough and not a tight enough fit to keep it in the ear perfectly. I think a longer tubing might be better perhaps in a cone shape. I'm going to try the Jabra Eargels next to see if that works better in MY ear. The Minigel seemed preferred to the Eargel by most JBII users. We'll see. So far, the Jawbone II is the best headset with my Blackberry Curve. If I can only find an earpiece that will stay in place.
07/09/10 - Since this review, I've tried the the regular Jabra Eargels and they fit much better with the Jawbone II. You can use them securely with no loop and they conform to the ear perfectly. However, since then, I've also found, for voice clarity, Plantronics Voyager Pro and Discovery 975 perform better than the JBII. The Voyager Pro has a rubber ear loop that will split after long periods of use, so, go with the Discovery 975. These fit in the ear just fine and it makes the Eargel or Minigel unnecessary, so, this review is kind of moot.

JAWBONE USERS --do NOT buy these MINI's to replace STANDARD Jabra Eargels,

This review is from: OEM JABRA MINIGELS C500 BT500 C200 FreeSpeak BT2020 BT200 BT250 BT500 Jawbone 2 (Electronics)
After reading ALL the reviews, and one in particular from a reviewer who obviously has not used the product, I ordered a few sets to replace my Standard Jabra eargels. The standard eargels have been a fan favorite for Jawbone users since the design securely holds the jawbone without the need of the ear hook. I was delighted to hear that the mini-gels (which are indeed much smaller and appear much more comfortable than the standard eargels) where described to be effective without the ear hook. Nothing could be further from the TRUTH. These mini's have no way of securing the Jawbone to your ear and thus are inefectual for such use. If you use the hook, they are indeed better than what Jawbone provides. But if you want to AVOID THE HOOK than AVOID THESE MINI GELS AT ALL COST!
I hope this saves some of you from wasting your money
