These are good shorts. The large is true to size around the hips but roomier in the thighs than most board shorts. If you don't have big legs, this gives the shorts more of an A-line shape than depicted in the pic. Material is lined with a soft, silky lining but still ends up a bit thin compared to other shorts I have owned. These definitely would not be the shorts you could get away with not wearing swim bottoms under! The fastener at the waist gives you a good 3 inches of play and so I would recommend fellow skinny legged chicks to order their usual underwear size instead of one size up. Nevertheless, it still comes off as a classy and expensive-looking short.
