I cannot compare this to other lotions, but I have used this lotion and use it now; it takes away my eczema; but I have to keep using it. It also takes away my mom's petickei (SP); which are blood spots just below and on the surface of the skin on her legs. Some times they actually bleed, but putting this on them every day will heal them up. But you can buy it cheaper here on amazon by looking up "Jason Natural Products Ester-C Lotion Perfect Solutions".

The girl I bought this for loves it. She used to by a knock off version from trader joes. But then they discontinued it. I have tried it before, makes my face turn red. A red face isn't a desirable effect as far as I am concerned but at least you know it is doing something.

I typically use Yes To Carrots lotion with SPF 15 for my normal-dry skin. However, I wanted to get a lotion that does not have SPF so I could use it in the evenings, and layer under a sunblock in the daytime. Various reviews had indicated that Jason's Ester-C lotion has good ingredients. The ones listed are decent antioxidants, and there are no irritating ingredients.

It has now been several months and the lotion is working well. Used alone, it is not quite adequate enough for the my most dry skin needs, for example, when it was particularly cold and dry for a week. But, the lotion goes on smooth, without any oiliness, and layered over my Olay Regenerist serum, is substantial enough for winter. It also works well in the daytime, under my foundation that has SPF. The advantage to the lotion is that it feels like it absorbs quickly, without any oily residue.

During the first few weeks of use, the fragrance took some getting used to because it is rather strong. However, the scent is nice, and it does not bother me anymore.

Overall, this is a good general purpose lotion. It works very well layered with other products.

Love the container. Easy, clean pump. Love the feel of the lotion, love putting it on, and it feels great on my face. Problem 1, the smell. Lord it stinks. I've got frown lines now - it's like Pavlov's dog - everytime I reach for the bottle, I instinctively frown. Oh, it eases after aprx 30 minutes, then you can still smell it sometimes, but it's not bad then. Problem 2 - and I don't know if it's caused by the lotion yet or not - I'm 'studying' the issue - I've started getting BLACKHEADS. I've never had them before - acne oh yeah, but not blackheads. So there you have it - I've been using it for aprx 1.5 months now - like I said - feels wonderful on your face, but get a clothes pin first.
