Sue Reed has an amazing, penetrating voice, and she is also a brilliant pianist. Her songwriting is intricate and beautiful, with elements of high emotion and sometimes macabre content. Fans of Harry Potter and other paranormal cultural manifestations will surely enjoy Reed's wonderfully nuanced and poignant songs. "Spellbinding" is a very apt word for this superb set of songs. Jasun Martz lends a hand with his own virtuosic and endlessly imaginative support on mellotron, bass, and drums. Sue Reed is also a fine painter...she created the artwork on the cover of the CD.

I just LOVE this CD. Yes, it is quirky and intense and strange and powerful. It just knocks me out! Sometimes it is SO pretty and sometimes Ms. Reed screams with intensity. WHOA! I say if you like a radical version of Amy Mann, and Fioana Apple and Sarah McLachlan you will like this. And if you love Regina Spektor and Leslie Feist, you will absolutely love Sue Reed even more. Peace.
