I get a lot of compliments on my Tri Axis iPad2 case. It is very attractive and very functional in the way that it can be used in a horizontal or vertical format. The smart feature works well. One thing I have noticed is that if I close my case with the iPad2 rotated into the "upside down" mode. it does not put the iPad to sleep. The only other thing I have noticed is when the iPad 2 is in a horizontal position seated in the second or third groove, it is not quite as stable as one would like. Certainly functional, but I notice a different from the 1st groove to the 2nd or 3rd. Luckily, I like it to use it in the 1st groove since it is more vertical. It is like the grooves need to be deeper to keep the iPad stable enough. That being said, I have enjoyed it tremendously and I am glad I purchased it.

After much research I got this cover for my iPad 2 since I was looking for something to cover the bottom and help orient my iPad for reading in either position without having to hold it. This cover solves the first purpose very well, but is a bit unstable when trying to keep it in either orientation at the last slot (one closest to the spine). It only seems to stay in that position if kept on a table or a hard surface and not moved. Would not be as stable on the lap or on the bed (where I prefer to read or watch Netflix, and do not want to hold it). For these reasons, I think I might have paid a bit too much for what it does do very well.

Looks great and love that accommodates both vertical and horizontal viewing. Only criticism is it leaves lines on the screen from in the inside front cover.
