Great design, great box, great selection of sleeves. The sleeves themselves are thicker than usual and do not seal as well as comply tips, but bearable. Sound is much clearer than any jbuds or beats headphones. Bass is punchy but still preserves clear mids but somewhat lacking treble. Sound is nowhere near harsh. Using them for light vocal or electronic songs, as well as your everyday hip hop track, these are fine. The specs are not special by any means, although the 95 decibal rating is quite low (doesn't matter). The design themselves are the best part. They are the lightest and smallest earbuds you will find with decent bass. The only problem would be the driver flex on the left earbud, the clicking from the dynamic driver is annoying, and prevents a good seal, not terrible though, considering the light design and tangle free cables.
Some people may complain about microphonics, although the manual clearly recommends an over ear style of wear, which significantly reduces cable noise. The cable is long and the jack improved. Make sure you are recieving the box with the single GREEN dot, with the GREEN stripe, not yellow, as these are the new ones with the angled jack and improved cable. As for the comparison between the one, two and three, the one's are the bassiest, but do not reach past 18khz, which doesn't matter unless you only listen to classical. Two reachs to a higher khz, but the difference is so that you won't notice any difference. The one decimal increase is not going to be noticed either. They are overprices, almost 20 dollars over this pair, the only difference is the stereo splitter and airplane adapter. The three's have a harsher, more treble oriented sound, they are balanced not bassy, good for some, not for my music.

I am HARD on earbuds. I ride a bike to work or a scooter. So I have only one ear in. Cords dangling usually equals earbud death. So far, I have yet to do any damage to these. The sound is pretty good, but I'm damaged, so I'm not a great judge on that account.

Pros
The wide cord--it's easy to see, handle and adjust (and find!)
The sideways, flat plug. It's very sturdy and doesn't pull out easily. Helps prevent 'fold over' damage.
Cord length--longer than usual.
Sound is pretty good.

Cons
No volume adjustment.

UPDATE 11/29/12
Purchased in May and they lasted until almost December--6 whole months! As it stands, they are still in pretty good shape. There's a short now, though. But, overall, they last much longer and die more slowly than the SkullCandy ones I'd been buying by the gross. I'm going to purchase a new set and keep these as backup. I think, for my type of grinding daily 24-7-365 use, it's cheaper to purchase a better product that lasts longer than the cheapos that die a quick and dirty death.

Cheers.

UPDATE 2/28/13
They finally died in January...more than 2 months after I noticed initial issues. Much hardier than others. In the end, the cost for purchasing a better quality product is less than buying poorer quality products that don't last as long.

I'm on my second pair and will continue to buy these earbuds.

UPDATE 1/08/13
Almost a year. That's phenomenal for a grinder like me. It was more than a month that they lasted after I noticed a slight clicking. This time, the separation was at the cord to plug connection. I'm hoping for an improvement in tugging resistance.

Tee up a new set. Backup set (I've learned my lesson) is my Maxell phone set of earbuds.

When I ordered these ear buds I really wasn't expecting much given the price, boy was I wrong. I boutght these after my Beats finally gave out, not wanting to pay much for another pair, I began looking for a low budget option. I read several reviews that mentioned the sound quality, and a few that weren't so positive. After much debate (and in spite they are in ear with no hook support to keep them there) I bought a pair, figuring what the heck.
When they arrived I put them through my audio playlist test, which covers the whole spectrum, sans country music (sorry, not a fan). I was completely blown away by the sound. They were able to handle the highs and lows without a glitch. I had to even double check to make sure I had only paid that low amount... TWICE! I really couldn't have asked for a better, low cost replacement for my departed Beats.
There is some cord noise when wearing them, but I was able to resolve that issue by using a simple clip left over from my set of Beats. The clip connects the cord to your clothing and that took care of the cord noise.
The buds did slip out a few times, but after a couple of weeks of using the different sizes that came in the package, I now have little issue with them staying in my ears, even while running.
Overall, I recommend these to anyone looking for low budget quality.

These are nice sounding and not expensive. If you are just sitting they stay in your ear. If you are moving they come out. Walking, riding, mowing the lawn. Once they become unseated they do not sound good or provide noise isolation. I think its because the body is too big and prevents them from going deeper in the ear. I bought 2 brands and the X-1 stays in your ear when active.
