This 3-way, dual, 10" floor-standing loudspeaker with MDF enclosure reproduces sound with unmatched clarity and power. The PolyPlas (polymer-coated cellulose fiber) cone woofer features traditional JBL engineering; the same technologies used in JBL's professional equipment that can be found in stadiums, music halls, and move theaters around the world. Shielded components allow placement near video monitors. High-temperature, oversized Kapton voice coil, and HeatScape motor structure allow these speakers to effortlessly play all types of movies and music. A low-diffraction IsoPower baffle directs the sound power into the room, reducing distortion caused by cabinet vibration. The lock-mitred, computer-designed enclosure requires no bracing. The FreeFlow flared port increases bass response without adding unwanted port noise. JBL's custom-designed drivers allow the use of simple, Straight-Line Signal Path (SSP) crossover networks with high-quality electrical components that minimize processing that could degrade the signal.

I originally purchased 2 of these speakers from Best Buy, along with other stereo components. I liked these speakers so much I tried to find 2 more, and was finally able to secure another pair. They handle bass and highs with unwavering ability, and are the best sounding speakers I have ever owned. Even though they are apparently unavailable now, If you get a chance to obtain them, they are the best deal for the best sound ever!

I have owned these speakers for over 5 years now and they are truly the best i have ever heard. They never distort or waver in sound clarity.....still. I paid 269.00 new from best buy for these so at today's standard and the newer and better line of speakers that JBL offers i wouldn't pay more than 150.00 for these in comparison to what you could get at 260.00 now.

these speakers are amazing, unbelievable clarity and power. The subwoofer can be lound enough to shake any room, whilst the clarity is high to even hear a pin drop. Great buy for a good price!!
