I just bought 2 of these speakers today for the corners of my billiards room, I didn't buy them from Amazon, but I figured I just had to rave about them somewhere..

These units were hefty, attractive and affordable, also, with a name like JBL, I knew i'd be doing my ears a favor by purchasing them..

I bought these for 59.99 each at my local Costco, rushed home with my purchase, and a mere 30 minutes later was bathing my ears in their rich, warm sound.....

Install was a breeze, I mounted these units 3" from the ceiling in two corners. (In the instruction manual JBL notes that the mounting position etc have a profound effect on the quality of the bass and richness of the sound. I've found that 3" from the ceiling in two corners provides a nice amount of bass without rattling the neon signs off the wall) JBL provides you with a bevy of parts depending on the install type, and as the previous reviewer had stated, connecting the wire to the terminals is a pain in the butt! This is mainly due to the fact that the connectors are countersunk in the rear of the speaker, and if you have snausages for fingers like myself, this can become quite interesting, especially when you're perched on a ladder, trying not to drop your lovely new purchase.

All in all, I think that 59.99 each for this kind of sound is well worth it, I'm thinking about going back for two more, so I can put them outside.. Yes, they are all weather rated...

Great speaker, sounds as good as it looks. Very easy to mount. I seem to hear every little detail in the movie, backgound talk, a car door closing, or phone ringing. My old speakers were good, but what a difference.
Only down side, I had problems putting the wire in speaker terminals (a minor thing). Can't wait to replace the rear surround speakers with the Control Now in my media room.

Love these speakers.

I bought this Receiver to create a custom setup of 7.1 channel system in the living room. These JBL Speakers as Wall-mounted Front Left/and Right Channel, Cerwin-Vega centre channel, PhoenixGold speakers as Ceiling Mounted Surround Left/Right and Surround-Back Left/Right and a powered sub-woofer. I had to source and add adjustable wall mounting brackets because I wanted the speakers to be tilted and positioned at a certain angle. The speaker has a solid build quality and just holding it gives you the feeling that you are carrying something heavy and powerful.
Sound quality is very loud and crisp.

The JBL Control Now Bookshelf/Wall Mount Outdoor Speakers are well made, easy to install and perfect for my huge backyard.

The sound quality is consistent from the house to the back of the yard so we can listen to our favorite music loud and clear sitting on the deck, gardening in the yard or chilling in the forest beyond.

My concern that the speakers might be flimsy when mounted on the back wall of my house over a high-traffic area is negated by the sturdy construction and easy-to-use heavy duty mounting bracket provided by JBL. I'm not worried that it will be damaged if someone hits the speaker with a heavy fishing pole or stray fetch toy.

I paired the speakers with JBL's WEM-1 50-Watt Wireless Amplifier and Expansion Module. The system was easy to setup and connect to my PC for internet radio.

These speakers rock. I used them for a surround sound system for the fronts and out side and they rocked well worth it!
