Ideal as either bookshelf or wall-mounted speakers in a stereo or surround sound system, the E10s employ JBL's professional audio engineering and high-quality construction to deliver elite sound and great value. JBL's exclusive 4-inch shielded PolyPlas woofer and 0.75-inch titanium-laminate dome tweeter ensure a notable frequency response (75 Hz to 20 kHz), which can be boosted with the addition of a powered subwoofer. The tweeter also boasts an oval orientation called Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal (EOS), which results in a wider horizontal dispersion of sound. The idea is simple: turn every seat, even those in the corners of the room, into the best seat in the house. Additional audio enhancements include FreeFlow flared ports that minimize distortion and thump and a Straight-Line Signal Path (SSP) crossover network that preserves the original signal for additional clarity.
Though compact at 10.12 by 10 by 4.25 inches (W x H x D), the E10s pack a nice punch, with 50 watts of continuous power handling and a max amp level of 100 watts. The speakers also offer sturdy, gold-plated five-way binding posts, which both provide a variety of secure hookup options and preserve the nuances of the source music. In addition, the E10's computer-designed, lock-mitered cabinets virtually eliminate distortion, while their slim European profiles look elegant whether stored on individual speaker stands or bookshelves. To mount the speakers on a wall, merely use the built-in keyhole mounting bracket on the rear of each speaker.
The E10s hail from JBL's Northridge E Series, which comprises not only floorstanding and bookshelf speakers, but also center channel speakers, subwoofers, and anything else you need to create a superior surround system. All Northridge speakers are magnetically shielded to protect against video interference and are covered by a five-year warranty on parts and labor.
