Though compact at 6 by 10.88 by 8.12 inches (W x H x D), the E20s pack plenty of punch, with 60 watts of continuous power handling and a max amp level of 125 watts. The speakers also offer sturdy, gold-plated five-way binding posts, which both provide a variety of secure hookup options and preserve the nuances of the source music. In addition, the E20's computer-designed, lock-mitered cabinets virtually eliminate distortion, while their slim European profiles look elegant whether stored on individual speaker stands or bookshelves. Listeners can also mount them on a wall--an ideal solution when using them as rear surround speakers.
The E20s hail from JBL's Northridge E Series, which comprises not only floorstanding and bookshelf speakers, but also center channel speakers, subwoofers, and anything else you need to create a superior surround system. All Northridge speakers are magnetically shielded to protect against video interference and are covered by a five-year warranty on parts and labor.
What's in the Box
Two E20 speakers, self-adhesive rubber feet, warranty card, user's manual.

Whitehawk's JBL Bookshelf Speakers,
By Whitehawk "Whitehawk" (Dixie) - See all my reviews
This review is from: JBL Northridge E20 2-Way 5-Inch Bookshelf Speakers, Pair (Beech) (Electronics)
Good value for a fair price. I'm using them in the den as part of a small surround sound system; and for this application, they're just right. Might also be good in a dorm situation where they limit the "loudness". As expected, good JBL quality; and, the birch wood cabinet conveys a bit of a "coolness" factor and blends well with most any decor. Obviously, the dynamic response is short on the highs/lows...but no distortion, clipping, or "off" resonance factors noted. Have them mated to a small onkyo a/v 5.1; and would suggest that, if you had to make a choice- the money you save with these speakers should similarily be deployed into the amp. Be advised you may prefer banana speaker-wire clips to install.
