This is a lovely CD. It is more like Papa Haydn than Daddy Bach. I bought it because I love the Sinfonia in E major, op 18 no 5, an old favourite from my gramophone record days. I was not disappointed. It is played superbly.

If you like this music, you will probably also enjoy recordings of Boyce symphonies. My old gramophone record included both the Bach E major symphony and Boyce's well known Bb symphony.

Highly recommended.

I am NOT an expert or connoisseur of classical music, but I know what I like. This is a wonderful CD. It is lively, melodic and extremely delightful!

If you are just exploring classical music beyond the "usual suspects" as am I, I suggest investing a few bucks and trying this CD.
