Like this workout. The pace is steady but not crazy fast.
There are not a set number of reps to be completed.
I do the modified version and get a great workout.
Check pricing before buying. I usually buy from
Amazon but found there are two websites for jcore.
The regular site has this set of dvds for ninety dollars with shipping.
The online site for tryjcore has a much better price.
It is fifteen to try it and then a balance of forty five dollars for a
sixty dollar total.

PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE: I have tried just about every program out there. From p90x to insanity to boxing to whatever...I have done it! But what I always have difficulty was with sticking to a workout. The other programs work. but who has TIME! And you have to be in great shape to even make it through the others. I love working out. but I had a hard time dedicating my whole day to a workout system or having to go to the gym and wait for a machine. so I put together MY 2 Cents of why i like this system. Take them for what they are worth. But if you are like me and want to lose weight and get in shape they make sense:

****I am on day 32 of Jcore.

This is what I like about the system:

1. It is only 20 minutes long and I work out for just 4 days a week - not 90 minutes and 6 days a week. i skipped so many days on the others cause of the time commitment.
2. Diet is easy to follow and I am not starving.
3. The fit tests make me feel like I am getting better each time that I do the different workouts
4. Jay is motivating and encouraging - REAL DEAL!
5. The workouts are INTENSE. I sweat a lot doing these. but, before long it's over. 20 minutes! done! my shirts are soaked after each work out.
6. like the 30 seconds bursts. you do all of the moves for 30 seconds. as many as you can do. - great for motivation!
7. My house doesn't look like a gym. and i didn't have to buy an equipment. you do not use any equipment.

I'm a big P90X fan, but sometimes you are not ready for extreme. After a series of unfortunate events, I was looking for a good DVD series to help me get in shape.

JCORE was the answer. The instructor is very encouraging, and the exercises are designed for maximum range of participants.

Several of my friends have borrowed the DVD set, and I have ordered more. Everyone seems to love it.

Like the original P90X, this workout does not require special equipment. In fact, JCORE goes one step further. You don't need anything except for a 4x4 foot area.

Truth in lending, you will likely want to transition to a more demanding workout after the first 45-60 days, but that is the period of time when you need this series most.

Well done!

I have been following Jay Cardiello for a few years now. His workouts are no joke and his first series of DVD's are no disappointment. There is no equipment needed, and you do not need a ton of space which is perfect for my tiny apt and hotel rooms. I like this system better than other DVD's because it's only 20 minutes, 4 days a week. Other DVD series are too time consuming and unrealistic to think you'll be able to do them almost every single day! I get sick of watching my TV to workout so just 20 minutes a day is perfect to do first thing when I get up or get home after a long day at work.

My FAVORITE part was that we use bodyweight exercises for the lower body. My butt felt lifted after just 2 weeks for doing these DVD's. I cant believe how much I was sweating after just the 20-minutes. I was able to do these DVD's in addition to training for a 10K and was probably the most fit I've been in a long time.

I hate to workout and never really stick with workouts for very long. I find that with my busy day, I do not have time to workout for an hour 4-5x a week. It's just not possible. I read about JCore in Shape magazine and it sounded promising. My husband and I decided to buy it for each other for Valentine's Day. We started the day after Valentine's Day in 2013 and followed the 40 plan for workouts. The JCore total body workout program also includes a meal plan you can follow, but we decided to just eat our normal healthy food, but cut down on the amount of sweets. The first 10 days were hard. I hurt all over. Bending over to put on my pants and shoes and socks was hard (btw, I am in my 40's). Once I hit day 15-20, it got much better. I was no longer sore and I was really used to the workouts. I noticed some improvements in my body shape, but my strength was what I noticed first. We continued with the 40 day workout plan and at the end of 40 days we still loved the program. We decided just to rotate the 5 videos throughout the week. I have now been doing the program for just shy of 4 months. My body has changed so much. I have lost 8 lbs and my arms, legs, abs and back are quite toned. I have dropped almost 2 pant sizes. I am so thrilled with the results. Every day, I know I can always find 20 minutes to workout. The best thing is the videos are exactly 20 minutes. That includes the brief warm up and cool down. It is perfect for the busy person or someone who dislikes working out. It's very challenging, but there are modifications for each move. You still get great results even with modifications.
