I bought this stroller after returning my Graco Duoglider. The tandems are just way too bulky and heavy. Unfortunately, the side-by-sides are pretty pricey. For the money, the Jeep side-by-side is a good choice. It is lightweight, easy to fold up and doesn't take up much room in my trunk. My sons (2 1/2 years and 3 months old) both ride comfortably in the stroller. A few drawbacks are that there aren't any snack trays for the kids (I purchased the Prince Lionheart accessory kit) and the stroller does seem a bit flimsy. I don't know how durable it's going to be for longterm use (I've only owned it since my youngest was a couple of weeks old). But, I think any stroller that's lightweight is also going to be a bit on the flimsy side. The canopies do have the tendency to get bent when the stroller is being folded but not so bad that they are useless. Overall, this was a great choice for me. It's functional, lightweight, easy to maneuver and comfortable for the kids without breaking the bank as is the case with the Peg Perego and Combi side-by-sides.

1.0 out of 5 stars Piece of junk!, September 22, 2005

I bought this stroller in March of 05, six months ago. Within a couple of months of light to average use, one footrest strap had snapped. I called Kolcraft in July and was told I would receive a replacement part with instructions. I received nothing.

Now the other footrest strap has also broken. This means my kids' feet are either dragging on the ground or kicking the wheels--lots of fun to push. So I called again last week and was told that the original order was never entered into the "system." Whatever. They placed another order for me and asked me to email pictures of the damage, which I did.

I received the replacement straps yesterday, with no installation instructions. I emailed them and got a quick response with instructions: drill out the rivets, buy a screw and locking washer and screw them on. Except I need to buy a special rivet drill bit. And then I get to have a screw sticking out waiting to impale my kids' legs? Unacceptable.

I emailed Kolcraft again and was basically told that it was my problem. Not in so many words, but that's the end result. This stroller is still under warranty, but they won't honor it.

The sun canopies are also substandard. They're too small to block any sun and prevent the stroller from folding properly when attached.

I would not recommend this stroller to anyone!

4.0 out of 5 stars It worked for me!, September 22, 2005
This review is from: JEEP Twin All Weather Umbrella Stroller: Yellow & Black (Baby Product)
I tried several different double strollers but this particular one and specially for its price worked great for my 2.5 years and 13 months old kids. Yes..it doesnt have it all but I would still recommend it. There is no storage basket but if you hang your diaper bag and other small bags on the handles.. it takes its weight perfectly. The canopy, I would agree with other reviewers, is a piece of crap. But better something than nothing. It folds compactly. Just perfect for the airport and rail stations. Breaks works very well. Reclines well too and both seats are independent of each other. I wont say its all terrain but it can still steer okie on rough roads and hilly areas. Its light-weight and folds and opens easily and can fit into any car's trunk. Dont need a van or Suv to carry it.
I would reccomend it if you can ignore few things here and there. And as always.. return it within 30 days if u dont like it but its definitely worth bringing it home for a trial atleast!

4.0 out of 5 stars It serves its purpose, December 9, 2005
This review is from: JEEP Twin All Weather Umbrella Stroller: Yellow & Black (Baby Product)
I needed a double stroller that fits into the trunk and still leaves room for 2 weeks of groceries and this is it. No it does not have all the bells and whistles, but it is simple and does the job for my 6 week ols ans 16 month old. Oh and it is weighted enough that my huge diaper bag does not tip it when no one is in the stroller. The sun bonnets do leave a lot to be desired, but like I said no bells and whistles. I definately recommend it for its simplicity!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use!, April 5, 2006
This review is from: JEEP Twin All Weather Umbrella Stroller: Yellow & Black (Baby Product)
I have owned an expensive tamdem stroller and it was too big. I didn't like the fact that I couldn't see both of my children. It wasn't compact and didn't fit in my van either.

This stoller is perfect. It's light weight, easy to assemble and use. Also, I am able to see both of my children at the same time! You can't beat the price either. I am very happy with this stroller!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Stroller for us!!!!, May 9, 2006
This review is from: JEEP Twin All Weather Umbrella Stroller: Yellow & Black (Baby Product)
I have a 3.5 year old and 2 year old. I have a large tandem stroller (by Jeep) that I used all the time when both kids were much younger but it is so heavy and difficult to turn and control that I was leaving it in the car. Instead I was having my older child walk and the younger one in a single stroller. This is fine for short outings but not lengthy outings or for going to the mall.

I was thrilled to find an inexpensive stroller that fit the bill. Despite the low cost there is nothing cheap about this stroller. My kids love it! It's very lightweight, yet sturdy, easy to fold and store in the car. This is a sharp looking stroller too!

No more arguments about who sits in the front or back and no more workouts for me putting that heavy stroller in and out of the car and pushing 100 lbs of kids/stroller/stuff around.

My 3.5 year is over the recommended age for this stroller but she is still under the weight recommendations. Both kids fit fine and are comfortable in this stroller.

Given the cost vs. other lightweight double strollers I think this is a steal. We'll probably only use it for a year and it made no sense to spend $300 on a fancier model.

I love the mesh back in the seats and the head rest from the rolled-up back. My large Jeep stroller did not include a cup holder so I'm pleased to have that convenience back.

It was easy to put together and only took about 10 minutes. (The photo showing how to put the canopy on is useless. For some reason I had the hardest time attaching the canopy. Once I figured it out I felt silly. Hint: leave the canopies folded as they are in the box, attach the center first and it all magically works out.) After the initial intallation I have not had the problems with the canopy folding properly as others have mentioned.

After struggling with the large tandem stroller which was almost impossible to turn I am loving the ease with which this stroller manuevers. It turns very easily. Yeah!!! No more running over people in the mall.

I'm 5'7" and I have no problems hitting or stepping on the center wheel as others have mentioned. (I do have this problem with the single stroller I have.)

I have not had any difficulties with doorways yet but the big stroller caused plenty of problems so this is not going to be a big deal.

There is no underneath storage basket. Not a problem. Once my son is in his single stroller I can't get to anything in the basket under the seat. As others have mentioned the center handle bar is perfect for hanging a bag and your stuff will be readily accessible.

No front tray or bar: This is great. Once your kids are older it is a hassle to have to move a tray or bar out of the way. And it's dangerous when they climb over it to get into the stroller. I like that it's very easy for my kids to get in and out of this stroller without help from me (other than buckling them in). I am not sure I would have liked this feature (or lack of a feature) when my son was infant.

So overall a great purchase. The day I got this stroller I went for a long walk with my kids; something I never would have done with the big stroller or would have been able to do with my daughter walking.

I highly recommend this to anyone on a budget or not who needs a good quality flexible stroller.

5.0 out of 5 stars I didnt want anything fancier than this!, July 11, 2005
This review is from: JEEP Twin All Weather Umbrella Stroller: Yellow & Black (Baby Product)
I have 3 children, a 20 month old, and 8 month old twins.

I own a large, triple stroller... and this Jeep stroller. I happen to enjoy using this stroller so much more, and you can imagine I am just grateful for the compact size, that the extras no longer matter!

First of all, our stroller came equipped with a cup holder for the parents, and 5 point harnesses. That said, this is the best double stroller out there.

(1) Its CHEAP!! I couldn't imagine shelling out big bucks for a double, and even though I got it for my shower, I am still impressed with the "bang for "my" buck!"
(2) Its a very well made stroller. I have seen cheaply made doubles before, but not this one. Its very sturdy, not rickety at all. I love that it rides smoothly, and comfortably. I can turn it with ease, and even steer it with one hand. Its terrific.
(3) You cannot forget the seats! They are truly an amazing design feature! The back of the seats roll up, and there's a mesh seat in its place, not to mention a comfortable pillow, which once was the vinyl seat cover! I also love that the seats RECLINE! They can go nearly all the way down, which is more than enough for us! In the front/second seats of my triple, you can't dream of having the babies sleep well, but in the Jeep, they have it all taken care of!
(4) SIZE!!! Its literally extremely small. I can fit it through an average doorway, and through some small spaces at stores. Once folded (which by the way isn't as bad as everyone says. It does take two hands, but it folds a lot smoother than that of my triple. It may seem cheap to the people who were "spoiled" with the button, but its an umbrella stroller!) it requires a small fraction of the space in my trunk, or that of my husbands SUV. Its certainly not the lightest stroller on the market, but you can bet its light enough for an average adult to lift!
(5) The storage is lacking, and that's something that means a lot to me. Dont get me wrong, I can fit enough bottles/sippies, pacifiers, and things for me in those pouches, but I do need some extras! I have actually been able to get away with leaving on a short outing, with just 3 diapers, and a travel wipes case in one pocket, with the my other needs in the 2nd pocket! But on those long mall outings, we attach a bag to the rear of the stroller. The bag is meant to clip onto something (am not really sure what, hard to tell) so the buttons and ties make it easy to use with the stroller. We dont use a diaper bag though, we just utilize our extra bag as that, and it works well.
(6) The sun protection is ridiculous! The canopies are up pretty high, but they couldn't protect the children from a leaf, let alone the sun! We have searched for the black, flexible shade a few of the reviews have mentioned, but only found them in navy (didnt purchase). We wound up just placing hats on the twins, although we think this solution is completely ridiculous! I do plan to either go along with the navy shade, or possibly trying out two of the black ones for the single stroller... I just hope it works out!

All in all this stroller is magnificent. I will admit it truly is nothing fancy, but its a MUCH needed sigh of relief after a few months with the monster triple (which makes its debut on occasions). I totally recommend trying it, or at least purchasing it as a back up double... it truly is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE THIS THING!, May 11, 2006
This review is from: JEEP Twin All Weather Umbrella Stroller: Yellow & Black (Baby Product)
I bought this stroller last summer when my daughter was almost 3 and I had a newborn son. I debated over whether I needed a double stroller (my 3 year old was already, at times, not wanting to sit in a stroller anymore), so I really took my time researching the double strollers and going to Babies R Us and trying out some different ones. Many of the front/back type double strollers were way too small for my 3 year old. This Jeep stroller was PERFECT. My son was sitting (reclining) in it by 1-2 months of age and at the same time my 3 year old could hop in and out easily at her desire.

WHAT I LIKE BEST ABOUT THIS STROLLER:
- The reclining seats
- How easy it is to collapse and throw in my truck
- How little room it takes up in my trunk
- This stroller is SUPER LIGHT for a double
- Smooth ride
- I am 5'8" and have never kicked the wheels while walking,as some have complained about

WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT THIS STROLLER
- The sun shades are worthless. I removed them after the first use. They are very small and very flimsy.

Overall, if you are in need of a double stroller, I would say do what I did and buy this one....it is so inexpensive but not "cheap". Like I said, I wasn't even sure if I needed a double stroller...but it turned out that I did use it quite a few times. My daughter is out of the stroller stage now, so I am selling the stroller, after only having it for less than a year. I do not regret the purchase, though, because the stroller was perfect when I did need it.

2.0 out of 5 stars poor quality, August 28, 2005
This review is from: JEEP Twin All Weather Umbrella Stroller: Yellow & Black (Baby Product)
After many hours of online research I decided to purchase this Jeep stroller. I loved it at first and thought I got a great deal based on the price and what the stroller offered. After having it for about a month I am sending it back. On a trip to grandma's I left the stroller in the back of the car and because of the heat one of the seat clips distorted and now is very loose. I don't think it will hold up to my growing two year old. The canopies also distort when folded and now they don't cover my kids as well as they should. I'm also tall at 5'10 and the handles are not quite long enough. I have to bend just enough where it's not comfortable and I tend to step/kick on the wheels/brakes when walking. Don't plan to take this stroller anywhere than smooth pavement because it won't ride very well. The side pockets don't hold much either. A sippy cup and a small hot wheels car is about all it will hold, or maybe a diaper of two, but certainly not a flat wipes container. Plan on putting your wipes in a zip lock. Like I said I was thrilled to get this stroller but once used it did not meet my needs and the quality was poor.

5.0 out of 5 stars The simplicity of strollers, July 9, 2005
By
This review is from: JEEP Twin All Weather Umbrella Stroller: Yellow & Black (Baby Product)
Our twins are 7 months old today as well, and have been in this stroller since they gained full control, and were able to sit up unassisted, at around 4.5 months!

We used a large tandem stroller before the Jeep, but had always known (due to experience with a 5.5 and 7 year old) that we would own THE LIGHTEST, or most "umbrella like-double stroller".

~ A cup holder for mommy/daddy. We dont use ours too much, but it can hold a Poland Spring Water Bottle, nothing else though.
~ Our model has the five-point harness as well, and this is a must. The harness adjusts like a strap, not like a car seat. And they are sturdy enough to keep the boys pretty much contained
~ The vinyl seats wipe up well, but also roll into a pillow, displaying a mesh side for hot days!
~ The seats DO recline, and we even found that they work well for small naps, but not nearly enough for a changing table. The recline mechanism is primitive, but what do you expect for a double stroller?
~ The canopies aren't really too bad. They do adjust, and do cover the boys heads sometimes, but as of now we have purchased two single stroller black shades and attached them onto the existing shades, and the boys seem to be fine now!
~ There is no storage, but we too were able to purchase extra mesh bags to hang on the back of the stroller. We keep one mesh bag attached to the back of the stroller, and we keep two thin blankets, and my things (small vinyl purse) inside. We are able to put my diaper bag (very specialized for different ways to hang it) onto the back of the stroller like its supposed to attach, which is cool. The sum of money these two bags cost was only about $30, which is okay since we use the diaper bag for more than just stroller outings. Some packages can go onto the handles as well.
~ The stroller folds with two hands, not one, and is very complicating with one foot and one hand... plus with two hands you will be able to fold it easily, and quicker. The stroller also fits well into a minivan or SUV once folded.

We love our Jeep stroller. Its defiantly the easiest stroller, and it still works well on rough surfaces, and turns on a dime... Even my 7 year old can push it!
