Bench Dogs for Use with Jet Clamp Framing Blocks,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: JET 70402 Bench Dogs (4 pack) (Tools & Home Improvement)
These dogs are made for use with Jet Clamp Framing Blocks. The Framing Blocks allow the user to square his/her clamps and subsequently produce 90 degree corners. These Bench Dogs allow you to mount the Framing Blocks to a workbench or jig that has standard circular bench-dog holes drilled into the surface.
These Bench Dogs are machined with projections that screw into the bottoms of the Framing Blocks. Each Bench Dog can be split into two different legnths. This way the user can choose the best legnth of dog to use. You actualy get eight Bench Dogs. With eight Framing Blocks and enough clamps, the user can produce two separate assemblies at the same time. The key is to have your dog holes properly layed out at 90 degree angles to each other. As good as this system is, it is important to confirm that the clamps and the objects being clamped are at 90 degrees to each other. These Bench Dogs are a simple product, inexpensive and when used with the Framing Blocks and clamps are a great way to help produce excellent results. P.S. They also work with Jorgensen Master Clamps.

what is the diameter?,

it is well made bench dog. I ordered one set but cannot use it at all.
Jet does not specify the diameter of this dog, so I assumed it's 3/4". I think 3/4" is the typical dog's diameter. My workbench has 3/4" holes this one is smaller, so cannot use it. I tried to return it but shipping is as much of purchase price.
