I have had this saw for more than 5 years now and am very happy with it. No tax, no shipping and the FedEx driver even backed up my driveway took the two boxes and the pallet they were strapped to off of the truck and dragged them into the garage. Now that is service!!I couldn't see spending more for the Delta or Powermatic as both cost more, but the Powermatic at least comes with a worklight, ball bearing guides, a quick tension release and a chip blower for the added cost, the Delta offers nothing more yet is more expensive. This is a good saw that performs well overall provided you are not looking to do much resawing, 14" bandsaws as a whole are not well-suited for resawing. The fence is great and can be easily adjusted for blade drift. Jet should offer the same options on this saw as are offered on the Powermatic, after all Jet and Powermatic are both Wilton companies. |
