I am a Surefire nut and have numerous Surefire flashlights that cost way more than this JetBeam, but this JetBeam BC25 flashlight blows them out of the water. It is the same size as the 6PI will only buy JetBeam from now on. Compared to my 200 lumen Surefire, this is at least three times brighter with a very nice beam pattern. Quality of the beam is on par with Surefire. I love the two function button, push on-release off, or push harder to click it on steady. I also love the fact that you can twist the head and select 100 lumens output. Most of the time, 100 lumens is more than enough but then when you need more, 650 lumens is right there. My only disappoinement was that it did not come with batteries, but for this price, I am not complaining. If you need a super bright light that will fit in the 25.4mm holsters and other light holders, buy the BC25. You will love it.

Nice bright light, beam has decent fill and throw. Slight dark spot in the center of the hotspot. 650 lumens is only for 5 minutes, then it steps down to somewhere around 400 lumens according to Jetbeam. This is to prevent overheating the LED, but you can get 650 again by turning off, then back on. Haven't verified run time. Mine came with an orange peel reflector, thought it was supposed to be smooth.

What I would wish for in a future update would be:
1) A ultra low output mode, maybe 5 lumens, for map reading without messing up darkness adaptation too much and a really long run time. Sometimes I just need a little bit of light to see enough what I am doing. Right now, I wrap a hand around the lens to let only a sliver of light out.

2) The bezel for tactical hold rotates around the housing, even with the tailcap fully tightened. It doesn't roll off of tables as it is, but I wish it was in a fixed position.

3) After one trip rolling around in my pack, the switch was staying slightly depressed. When I turned it on, this caused an intermittent contact and the light would flicker. Turning it on and off a few times fixed it. I think coming down from altitude caused a lower pressure area behind the switch, but I'm not sure. I wonder if this means the rubber switch cover is not totally waterproof.

For 68 bucks, I can't complain too much. Great light and has more output than others that are more expensive.

purchased jet beam bc 25 about three years ago ,switch cap will not work and can not get a response on how to purchase a replacement part. Works great when all parts are functioning ,but what good is it if the company will not stand behind its product.

Can I just say this light is bright. I had initially purchased this to use as a secondary/backup light. After receiving the light I then decided to put it on my duty rifle, which had a Surefire light system which was only 125 lumens. This light is much brighter at a fraction of the cost of weapon lights. For those of you looking for a light to add to a weapons system this and a cheaper mount to attach to your rails is the way to go.

Probably this light is brighter than surefire but it is not even 10% as solid as surefire lights.
May be surefire are not the brightest lights in the world but they are toughest/hardest flashlights in the world. They are constructed from very hard/tough materials designed for military specifications. They are designed to withstand the harshest conditions and to be ready at any time you need them. You can store them for a long long time without using them and it will never affect their function. They are designed to stay for a life time. This is the idea behind Surefire lights being so expensive. Yes these Jet-Beam lights are very bright , I completely agree with you but they are just toys believe me , they will fail in a much shorter time and the materials used to construct them are just some cheap chinese materials unlike the original tough materials used to construct surefire. If these jetbeam lights fall on ground I am sure they can break so easily or at least the function will be affected.

It is just the name of SUREFIRE that deserves one million dollars.

If you just buy something/anything with SUREFIRE name on it then you have bought something invaluable (Jewel).

Thanks and good luck
