5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Dallas-produced documentary, October 30, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: JFK-the Dallas Tapes [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This 1999 Emmy Award-winning documentary was a joint effort by the Fox affiliate in Dallas and The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. The result is a 104 minute documentary about the assassination of John F. Kennedy from a very unique perspective, that of the city of Dallas, Texas. Originally aired locally, it was released commercially after winning an regional Emmy Award. It combines very rare archival films from The Sixth Floor Museum's archives and from their Oral History Collection as well as vintage news and amatuer home movie footage. This is NOT a cheapie conspiracy-type whodunit video but a historical, professionally produced documentary worthy of the History Channel and your home.

4.0 out of 5 stars good video about 11/22/63 and the (local) press, January 13, 2006
This review is from: JFK-the Dallas Tapes [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I received my copy free from 6th Floor guru Gary Mack, but I digress. This is a very good video with some nice quality (B& W) footage, such as the sequence at Love Field depicting Secret Service agent Henry J. Rybka being recalled by Emory P. Roberts, among other clips. The reporter 'roundup' at the end was entertaing, too. Worth having.
