JG is a good middle of the road name brand for Airsoft guns. Top of the line are KWA guns which cost much more than the JGs. As far as the cosmetic look of the JG guns they look nice. Like a real M4 but not too much done as far as trade markings. Internally are very good solid construction. Shoots really well. If you are looking for your first Airsoft gun get one like this or a G&G or a Matrix. Note that Airsoft guns do need to be maintained and eventually serviced. The inner barrel needs to be cleaned out to remove dirt every several thousand rounds or so. Eventually you will need to open up the gearbox and re grease the gears and or replace some of them. that is part of the fun of this hobby. If you want a gun that you will have to do the least amount to it as possible then you might want to consider getting a KWA M4 for $300+ As far as getting a good solid M4 that you can eventually modify with different scopes, handrails, and or stocks This one is a great choice!!
