Can you say "DAD", for dumb ass design?,

I ordered these gems to carry 85 twelve foot sheets about 150 ft. After 5 trips the sleeves started slipping and we had to toss them and carry by hand. The shaft is smooth, so without any adhesive, or scoring of the shaft the sucker just starts slipping, and you can't use them. If you buy them, you better plan on fixing them before you really need them. Man, I was PISSED!

Buy gloves instead,

I was using these to carry 8' x 4' drywall. It ended up being more trouble than it was worth. Maybe they would be more useful for different size sheets or other flat materials but both my neighbor and I agree, just get a pair a gloves and skip this product for drywall.

Almost make carrying sheet goods fun!,

I was at first reluctant to purchase this item, but they seemed to be priced right and I had a gift certificate. I a remodeler and always cringe at the thought of carry around alot of drywall, plywood and other sheeting goods. After using this product just once, I no longer have a doubt in my mind that it was a great pkurchase. A friend and I were carrying 3/4" osb sheets three at a time without any problems. It may take a second or two to orient them the first time, but once you do, they lock in and don't slip. Another nice thing is that you can locate them at any height along the edge of the sheets, so you can get a confortable grip. The handles are confortable, much more than holding on the the sheeting itself and puts your handhold in a much more comfortable position. I believe you may also be able to use them to carry furniture or cabinets, I just haven't tryed yet. I'd recommend these to anyone.

I found the use of the JHandle very useful. I.m a single mother of three so when it came to moving I enlisted my mothers help and I have quite of few larger items that would normally be difficult for two women to move however with this tool I found it quite easy to get a grip or a handle on those items and move them with ease. I think it's a great tool and would recommend everyone to have if they don't already.

The J Handle is one of the simplest yet most useful tool that I have ever used. With out the J Handles I would not be able to help my husband carry sheetgoods or furniture around the house. Thanks for a great tool!

These handles are very clever, and they certainly make moving drywall, osb, or other long, flat things easier.Basically, they're triangles with three bars sticking out. You line up two of the bars on your sheet, and grab the third, and your buddy does the same thing on the opposite side. They give you a good handle, and you can set them at any height on the sheet, which means you don't have to grab sheets by the top or bottom. Some caviats: I doubt that they would work well for one person moving stuff alone, and don't know how much use they would be for a contractor or someone who moves enough drywall to invest in real moving equipment. Also, I haven't used mine long enough to confirm whether the handles slip after prolonged use. Still, they they made carrying my drywall a lot easier. If you're a do it yourselfer with a bunch of drywall, give them a try.

These handles allow you to carry sheet goods in a more ergonomically correct position if you use them correctly. When lifting very dusty, dirty or gritty materials, you may need to wipe the sleeves with a damp rag or tack cloth to prevent slipping. Best for long runs.

We use these in our photo studo to carry set walls, they work great. We have varying size walls starting at 2x8 all the way to 12 x30 and we never have had a problem. For what we use them for they ae priceless.

Work Well Within Their Limits,

I bought these at a woodworking show for moving plywood. They work well as long as you place them correctly and coordinate your moves with your partner. By placing them well, I mean so the panel is balanced or SLIGHTLY top-heavy. Making a sheet too top-heavy will result in a lot of very awkward balancing. Best on long, straight carries. Use them for lifting and the changing pressure and geometry will cause a slip. Same thing on stairs, where sometimes the higher carrier will tend to slip. I like them for the money, but only use them in the circumstances in which they work best. I would not use them for drywall, as I think they might crack it. No moving parts, heavily-built, bulletproof.
