Great Cold-Weather Cover,

This review is from: JJ Cole Arctic Bundle me Toddler (Baby Product)
I live in Utah and am active in the outdoors all year-round. My husband and I will frequently use the Arctic BundleMe in our BOB jogging stroller when we run and when we pull our baby behind us during snowshoeing excursions. Our baby is so warm and snuggly inside. More often than not, she falls asleep inside. When going to the JJ Cole website when this first came out, I didn't find specific enough specs on it. When I emailed the manufacturer they said, "The Arctic BundleMe is like a snowsuit, while the Urban BundleMe (which we also have) is like a coat." When you use the Arctic BundleMe, you know your child will be warm from the winter elements. The inside is a soft fleece while the outside is a very thick, durable canvassy-feeling material. There's a vent you can zip open to help regulate air. There's also a little pocket on the bottom front. This is a great product and I highly recommend it if you live anywhere where it's cold and windy and you need to keep your baby/toddler warm.

We purhased this bundle me for our 12 month old. We live in Burlington where it gets quite cold and windy. The Arctic bundle me works as described and keeps our son warm in very chilly weather despite not needing to wear a winter coat underneath. It is now very easy to transfer him from car seat to stroller without having to remove or out back on his winter coat. We have it attached to a Uppa Baby Vista stroller and it fits like it was custom made for it. It will also work on the G-Lite umbrella stroller if needed. We would highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a warm option to a bulky bunting or winter outfit/coat.

I own the JJ Cole Arctic Bundle, Urban Bundle and the Original Bundle. I purchased the Arctic and Urban in toddler size and would highly recommend doing the same for the amount of money you want to get more than one winter out of the product. That being said my daughter is two and I started using these when she was one. For an infant probably you would have to go with the smaller ones. I use these with a Baby Trend Jogger and an Uppa Baby Vista. The Arctic has a better configuration for the Uppa Baby's sunshade that attaches to the top of the stroller. The Urban one is less stiff and works better on the jogger. Both are a good investment if you are going to be out regularly through the fall/winter months in cold climates. Last winter we used a combo of the Urban and a vinyl cover which my daughter was not thrilled about having the vinyl cover on--but was happy to be in the Urban bundle. If using the Arctic and if the wind isn't bad she is comfortable as low as 25 degrees, but will pull the front cover up. I agree with the reviewer who compared the Arctic to a snow suit and the Urban to a coat. The only draw back so far has been the zippers are little tough on the Arctic but I think with time they will loosen up. From time of purchase I have received at least ten compliments on the looks and six others asked where I purchased, it looks as good as it works and it works as good as it looks!

I know that this is for toddlers - but my "very tall" 10 month old loves it. Hes comfy and cozy. Works great on windy cold days. Is surprisingly easy to use with more than one stroller. We have a Quinny Buzz, and a Maclaren Volo - this works perfectly with both strollers. As this is our first "cold" winter on the east coast (moved from west coast) I was debating between the 7AM Enfant and this bunting. We couldn't be happier. Now, I just wish that they made one of these in my size...hmmm...Guess I will just have to get a puffer coat :)

We bought this to handle the insane winters up here in Montreal and New Hampshire. It's thick, soft on the inside, and the top sheds snow well...perfect. My only complaint is that the hood doesn't work particularly well with the canopy of our stroller, but it doesn't seem to bug our 17 month old to have it bunched a bit (we keep the canopy on, unlike the picture shown). Our stroller is a Britax Vigour.

At first it was hard to justify spending twice as much on the Arctic Bundle Me as the Urban Bundle Me, but after a long New York City winter I've found it was worth it. I would argue that the Urban Bundle Me is more equivalent to a thin coat. And it can't do much for constant winds. After wrapping your kid up and finally getting them in the stroller, do you really want to have to wrestle on the plastic cover to keep out the winds too? The Arctic Bundle Me, however, is fantastic. My tall three year old loves it as much as I do. She is quick to inform me whenever she feels cold, but it is never while she is in this. If she wishes, only her eyes can show while the rest of her is kept out of the cold and wind. Warm enough to nap. It fits my Phil and Ted stroller perfectly. Though I've only tried it in the front, I can't think why it would not also fit the rear seat. It's heavy, but doesn't slide down the seat because of the way it's designed on top. I love that the zippers are stiff because on my Urban Bundle me the zippers now slide down a little by themselves. Or they come down easily if my kid is kicking. The zippers are suppose to be this stiff! If they slide down, all the warmth will escape. With this bunting bag my daughter can squirm around all she wants, and it never compromises her warmth.

I bought this item about a year ago, thinking that the bad reviews were talking about rare occasions, but it happened to me too. After a couple of months, one side of the zipper strip tore at the end, making it very difficult to reattach the zipper every time it fell (which happened a lot). Today it tore completely, making it useless, as one side won't zip. The zippers are very cheaply made. Be warned!Other issues that made this bundler a bad product (which I lived with as I already bought it but wouldn't recommend): 1. the Velcro opening at the back is very loose and keeps moving, which is not very comfortable for my kids. 2. Having zippers on the sides instead of in the middle is a bad idea. My kids kept taking out their hands and every movement opened the zippers which were neat their hands. I needed to adjust the zipper every few minutes when I was out with them. After seeing a different bundler belonging to a friend, I realized that a middle zipper doesn't have the same problem.

Not well made,
This review is from: JJ Cole Arctic Bundle me Toddler, Charcoal/Silver (Baby Product)
We travel by stroller everyday so we are very reliant on this bunting. I bought it a year ago and was very happy with it until I washed it and the zipper pull part came off. We added some paper clips and tape and made due until recently when I was trying to zip my son in and the zipper literally broke in half making the whole thing useless. Very annoyed I spent $100 and now I have to buy another one.

I really wanted to like this product because I have enjoyed other JJ Cole products, but this one disappointed me. The material is nice and cozy, but the zipper is super cheap and not something you would expect for an expensive product. When it was fresh out of the box, I unzipped one side half-way down, but was unable to ever get the zipper to go back up. Giving the product a second chance, I ordered another one, but came across the exact same problem. Also, to make the product universal with different strollers, the product has a velcro system to loop the stroller straps through that I found to be cumbersome. I have two different strollers and was hoping to just switch the BundleMe from stroller to stroller as needed, but the time required to deal with the velcro made it too much of a pain. I eventually bought a Bugaboo Footmuff, which I am extremely happy with. The product is very well made with a high quality zipper. And the holes for the straps are permanently sewn (verses having to create customized velcro ones with the BundleMe), which makes switching out the Footmuff a breeze. The only downside is that it doesn't fit my BOB stroller because in order to fit the Footmuff the hip straps need to detach from the shoulder straps and then be thread through the strap holes.
