Nice Fabric, So So Quality,
By Cincy Mom "Ann" (Cincinnati, OH) - See all my reviews
This review is from: JJ Cole Mode Diaper Tote Bag, Cocoa Tree (Baby Product)
I ordered this bag because I loved the pattern of the fabric. It has lots of room inside and many pockets to keep things organized. I also like that the straps do not fall down off your shoulder and its very easy to wear. However, after using it for a few weeks the straps started falling off. I had to hand sew them back on and went ahead and reinforced the other straps as well.

Not as nice as expected,

Purchased this bag due to the 5 star reviews others had given to the bag. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite as nice as I had anticipated. The nylon lining inside & on exterior top was rough and cheap, the snaps on the front and back pockets already seemed a bit loose, and it was also much heavier than I had expected. I was hoping my wallet (7X4) would fit in one of the front zip pockets but I could just barely jam it in there without having to tug hard on the zipper. The cute (Cocoa Tree) was super cute, but oilcloth tends to scuff easily and the bottom should be nylon to help avoid this. It is very similar in size and shape to a Fleurville sling tote, but definitely not the same quality. It did have a nice side bottle pocket, just wish there was a bottle pocket on both sides of the bag (the pocket on the other side is short and not too deep, but not secure, so I wouldn't use it for cell phone or wallet or keys, not sure what it is there for). It's OK and the price is in line with quality. I would gladly spend more on this bag if they just made a few changes (nylon bottom, nicer nylon inside, 2 sippy pockets outside, better snaps, deeper front zip pockets).

The clasps are sharp!,

I got this bag in cocoa tree (green and brown) from Babies R Us. As other reviewers have said, it is beautiful. I also like that it is roomier than my Skip Hop Dash and my Fleurville Sling Tote. However, the metal clasps that hold the messenger strap to the bag are sharp if you press on them. My husband immediately cut his finger on one and I could only imagine the damage my curious toddler would do to her little fingers. I am returning it and will be getting another Skip Hop bag. I am checking out the Skip Hop City Chic, Skip Hop Studio Tote, and Skip Hop Duo Deluxe because I want more room in my diaper bag from a brand that I trust.

Fabulous Diaper Bag!,
This review is from: JJ Cole Mode Diaper Tote Bag, Cocoa Tree (Baby Product)
This bag is absolutely beautiful! The picture does not do this bag justice. It is very roomy & has lots of pockets for all kinds of storage. The adjustable shoulder strap has an extra pad for added comfort for all day use. If you prefer, you can remove the shoulder strap & carry the bag using the tote straps. I love the removable stroller straps & they attatch to my stroller with ease. I love this & will be purchasing one for my sister as well!

Exact Item: Hard to care for,

I love this diaper bag. It has great space, many pockets, and so cute. But, it didn't come with care instructions and anything wet will leave a water mark. Not the best thing when it comes to a baby diaper bag.

A good bag for older kids, maybe, but definitely NOT for overpackers!,
This review is from: JJ Cole Mode Diaper Tote Bag, Cocoa Tree (Baby Product)
I bought this when my son was almost 9 months old and we've used it for about a month now. It is VERY narrow. None of the inner pockets can be used because the inside is only like two inches wide, so if there's anything in the center area, the pouches can't be used and vice versa. I think it will get better for us when he's a bit older and we don't need to carry as much stuff. Bottles are difficult to carry unless you only use the outer side pockets for them, meaning you can only carry two, and there's exactly no room for a can of formula or a formula separater. We've taken to using M&M minis tubes to separate our formula because they're the only thing narrow enough to shove in the inside pockets.
Here's a list of what we usually carry, and this packs the bag completely full. -Travel pack of wipes, 4-5 diapers, and the included changing mat (which is awesome, I might add) in the back outer pouch -Mommy essentials (keys, wallet, lip gloss) and sippy cup in front outer pouch *Sippy cups DO NOT fit in the outer side pockets* -Two bottles, one in each outer side pocket -Inside pouches-Four tall M&M containers and two short ones with formula *Yep, that's right. That's all we can fit in those inside pockets. Out of all EIGHT of those inside pockets, we use ONE.* -A change of clothes and a set of pajamas, two more bottles, and some small toys go in the center area So if your child is attached to any stuffed animals or blankets, you're toting them around either free or in another bag, because they won't fit anywhere in this bag. All that being said, it's super cute and I get complimented all the time on it, and the stroller clips are wonderful. The straps are comforable and durable. The fabric on the bottom of the bag started showing wear within days, and with me being very careful about where I set it, but I can deal with that. Definitely NOT the bag for you if you're an overpacker!

large enough to fit my new born and toddlers needed stuff and some extras. It has a wipable fabric that doesn't look cheap and it is easy to use! great buy and it is made to last!

Barely Gets the Job Done...,

I don't know about everyone else, but I find this bag way to small to tote around everything needed for baby. You can pack it for a trip to the mall or grocery store, but for spending the night at grandmas or overnight trips this bag is way to small.
Pros: Cute design Easy to clean (just wipe down with damp rag) Lots of pockets Stroller straps Matching changing pad Long and short handles Can buy additional matching add-ons. wipe holder, pacifier holder, and so on..) Cons: To small Side bottle pockets barely fit a bottle. Overall, I like the way the bag looks, but it is unpractical. If I am going to lug around a huge bag I should at least be happy about how it preforms.

After 5 kids I have gone through a lot of diaper bags. I finally decided to buy an expensive one (yes to me this is expensive) and I absolutely love it! It is a little small once you get everything in it, but the many pockets totally make up for what it lacks in room. Not to mention it's stylish and will give you a little boost when you use it.

I ordered this bag because I wanted one that was a little more girly and better suited to shopping. I can use this one as a purse as well. I started out with the "back pack" diaper bag, but found it difficult to quickly access items. The material on this bag isn't the highest quality, but I love the design. I can fit several items inside, but the outside pockets tend to unsnap if the pockets have only a few items. The snaps are the magnetic type. It is lightweight and not too huge. The one thing that confused me is that it does include a changing pad. I didn't know it did so we ordered the accessories set as well. The down side to that was that the dark color on them was brown?! I don't use it, but keep it as a back up. Overall I would recommend the bag, as long as you get it on sale. Choose one of the patterns that are cheaper. I wouldn't pay $70 for it.
