I bought this for my daughter while I was still pregnant, thinking that it would be helpful thru the first few months (as well as later) in terms of being able to keep up with my daily chores and my 2 1/2 y.o. son. It certainly wasn't cheap, so I assumed that it would be a good product, and appeared to be safe and comfortable for younger infants. Don't let the product description fool you! Just as it says in some of the other reviews, it is very possible for your child to fall when in this sling, because of it's crappy strap tightener. My daughter was a small newborn, only weighing 8lbs at nearly 2 months, which was the first time I tried using the sling. And even being that small, for the 2 minutes I had the sling on I could already tell that the strap was starting to loosen. (Definitely NOT safe!) Aside from that, this item is so big and bulky that I literally could not even see my daughter in it. I might as well have just put a duffel bag over my shoulder and plopped her into it. There wouldn't have been much difference between the two. I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT! I want to get rid of mine, since it's brand new, but I threw away the box so I can't return it. And I absolutely cannot, in good concience, sell it to anyone else for their child. So, I have no choice but to just bite my tongue and throw the product in the trash. Don't make the same mistake I did!

We are commited babywearers and have a number of slings / front carriers. I (Dad) use this one a lot because it looks the least crunchy-granola-ish of all the slings.

It could really use a wider strap or some shoulder padding, and has given me some aches after wearing for a few hours, but DD is very happy in it and always goes right to sleep. I actually like the drawstrings, personally, because I can snug her up in a cradle hold with just her face exposed, sort of like wearing a hoody, if that makes sense. The bottom is padded, which provides great support for newborns.

By the pictures you might guess the material is Gore-Tex or the like but it's actually a thick cotton, which does get a bit hot in the summer, if outside on a hot day.

Overall, I like this one, and for the price it's a good addition to our arsenal of carriers, or as I call them "Colic Remediation Devices". People always comment on it and I get to be the cool Dad at Target or the mall.

We looked at many carriers and initially wanted a sling for our son because we thought it would be safer and more comfortable. When we found this we thought it would be great. After a couple of uses, we took it back and got another style.

Pros:

-IF you can get your baby in a comfortable condition they will like it.

-Pockets in the front

Cons:

- I could NEVER get it comfortably placed on my body

- I never felt like my son was in there right and was safe. I always felt like he would fall out, suffocate, or was so uncomfortable he would hate being in there.

- I don't see how it would work with a larger baby!!

If you are going to get this one, I suggest trying it out before you buy it!

I used a snugli carrier for my baby for the longest which was an inconvenience for a while since my son was born very small, I had to wait until he was a little bigger ( 7 pounds) to use it. This carrier has no weight minimum and my son loves it! He is 2 months old now and people hardly know I am carrying a baby which is good because often strangers will come up to you and try to touch your baby. With this carrier he is facing me and I can cover him up completely and protect him from them and the sun. However, if you are short this will not fit you. I am 5 foot 7 and it fits me fine. I would say if you are under 5 foot 6 it will be too big for you.

This sling was VERY difficult to use I could never get it adjusted correctly and never figured out how to breastfeed in it without being obvious. I used this sling for about 6 weeks and it just about killed my shoulder and back. It was uncomfortable and not nearly enough padding in the shoulders. Plus you still had to carry a diaper bag and/or purse so that just added extra weight. Don't waste the money I would much rather have another front/back carrier they work so much better and are easier to use and feel a LOT safer.

The only things I did like were the pockets on the strap to keep small things in like paci's, keys, money and cell.

My 2 month old baby loves this sling. If he's fussy or I need my hands free, he loves to be in it and usually falls asleep. It is very comfortable to wear and really frees me up to use my hands. I didn't have any of the trouble reported by another reviewer that it didn't fit a smaller person. I'm 5'4" and the product fit great once I tightened down the strap. This is great for shopping, walking or just around the house.

I also found the sling too long. I'm 5'3" and I was unable to adjust the strap short enough to fit. It did appear to be well made. I was disappointed that I was not able to use it.

I bought the sling when I was pregnant. I was wowed by it's stylish looks. The sling seems awkward to get on and put the baby in, but you just have to practice. One trick I learned was to reverse the part of the sling above baby's head (so that the logo faces in). That seemed to keep the sling from covering my baby's face, so he could look out. You also have to insure that the logo part is on your shoulder for the sling to be comfy. If it isn't, the sling is really going to hurt. I noticed in some other reviews some complaints about slipping ties. You have to knot them once they are adjusted. My baby seemed pretty content when he was smaller (he was a 10lb newborn and 21"), however he got longer and started to look uncomfortable (he wasn't in the sitting up stage yet). Now that he is sitting up, the sling isn't so bad. You are supposed to rest baby on your hip and the sling is under his bottom holding him tight against your body. My baby seems to like that position alot. I am a bit apprehensive of him slipping out, but I was brave enough to let go a couple of times so I could use both of my hands. I just need to get used to using the sling in the hip position. I highly recommend going to the premaxx website. They have a video on how to use the sling for the lying down position and the hip position. I found it to be extremely helpful in fully illustrating the process of adjusting the sling and placing the baby in the sling (Which can be quite tricky). Another added plus is that you can use it as a changing pad. You can also lay baby down without waking him up. I don't use the sling that often, but it does come in handy when I am out and about and don't want to use the stroller.
