Like the slate cheese board, the JK Adams Set of Four Slate Coasters monogrammed with the initial "M" are beautiful and functional all at the same time. Each coaster has a natural "flaked" edge and a full felt backing so it will not scratch your tabletop. These coasters are 4-inches square and large enough to hold oversized glasses. Water rings will not stain these coasters and they are easily cleaned with warm soapy water. All letters of the alphabet are available. The monogram letter is laser engraved into the slate and will not fade or wear off so you can enjoy them for a lifetime. Each letter is 2-inches in size and centered on the coaster in the "Imprint Shadow MT" font. These initial slate coasters made a great wedding gift, hostess gift or new home present! Coaster are very nice, slate looks very 'classy' and coasters have a good 'weight' to them. They also have felt pads on the bottom that won't mar your table. The reason for the four stars is that a couple of the coasters are 'bumpy' in the middle of the coaster, making hard to put a glass with a flat bottom on them. When you do the glass is wobbly and I fear could tip over. Also, it appears that the monogrammed 'C' could wear off if it gets wet, etc. We'll see...

Otherwise the coasters are just as they look in the picture.

I bought these coasters to go on my new slate topped coffee table. They are quite nice and are the perfect complement, unfortunately Amazon shipped the wrong initial, so I will have to exchange them.
