Coaster are very nice, slate looks very 'classy' and coasters have a good 'weight' to them. They also have felt pads on the bottom that won't mar your table. The reason for the four stars is that a couple of the coasters are 'bumpy' in the middle of the coaster, making hard to put a glass with a flat bottom on them. When you do the glass is wobbly and I fear could tip over. Also, it appears that the monogrammed 'C' could wear off if it gets wet, etc. We'll see...
Otherwise the coasters are just as they look in the picture.

I bought these coasters to go on my new slate topped coffee table. They are quite nice and are the perfect complement, unfortunately Amazon shipped the wrong initial, so I will have to exchange them.
