just dont wash it!,

Got this quilt for my son and I loved it, it matched his room and was machine washable. Well of course it got dirty so I washed it just as the care tag told me to and it was ruined. After the first washing it came out with stuffing pushed around everywhere and holes!!! I tolerated it for a few more months but after 3 washings it was unusable!
